    Football Club Viktoria Plzeň (nicknamed Viktoriáni) is a Czech professional football club based in Plzeň. Viktoria Plzeň was founded in 1911, when Jaroslav Ausobský, an official of the state railways, filed a request for the establishment of a new football club in Plzeň.

    For the first 18 years of its existence, Viktoria Plzeň was a purely amateur club, although in 1922–23, they took their first foreign trip to Spain, where they won six out of nine matches. In June 1929, an extraordinary meeting of members agreed to go professional and enter the national professional league. In 1942, the club changed its name to Sokol Škoda Plzeň. For nine years they remained in the divisions, struggling to return to the First League, and in 1961, now under the name of Spartak Plzeň, achieved that promotion. In 1992, the club returned to its historical name FC Viktoria Plzeň and the very next season, advanced to the first league, where it remained until 1999.

    Viktoria Plzeň has won the Czech First League 6 times (having first won it in 2022), and the Czech Cup 1 time. Their biggest rivals are Sparta Prague and SK Slavia Prague. They play their home games at Doosan Arena, previously known as Stadion města Plzně.

    That front 3 with that midfield behind it, gives me nightmares tbh. What an awful set of attacking players and players that are supposed to support it.

    We were well ahead on aggregate but I remember the players working their arses off with about a minute left.

    Felt like we were finally on an upward curve.

    Now I just feel like shit.

    no nothing about this lot but do know we can't afford to drop too many more points in Europe...
     
    I do think Amorim really needs to settle on a main 11. I understand wanting to get the squad used to the tactics but I think now calls for a consistent 11 to start games where possible until the January window.
     
    With city at the weekend, this may be a good time to try out some younger players. Kukonki, Amass, Obi Martin, Ibragimov, Jack Fletcher, we've got a few who would be fine to give some game time to and who could do a good job for us. Even off the bench. We need to be at full strength and fitness at the weekend. I'm not too fussed on Europe at the minute. The league should be priority

    Onana needs dropping for a few weeks. This can B a good run out for the B team. Give Eriksen and Case a game. Also Anthony as wing back. Rest Maguire, put on Lindelof, Amass. I’d love to see Obi Martin on.

    I think this will be a strong line up. EL is the only way we can get Europe next season so all eggs are in this basket. Getting a victory here is imperative

    I think we can just about afford to lose this one, so with City at the weekend I’d largely play the second string here:

    That gives us Maz, Maguire, Amad, Ugarte, Mainoo, Bruno, Rashford and Zirkzee to bring in fresh for City.
