This might be our most pointless CL match ever. I hope that Mourinho sends the kids to the job and gives players a chance.

Or this is the most pointless comment ever!

We can still top the group and yes that means Juve losing to Young Boys, but if they played kids it's possible. Young Boys can put up a fight.

The most pointless game would be one where no change in position can occur for either team.

Hope Jose give chance to any one who can be given a chance to. With Liverpool coming next.

Pogba and a bunch of minnows will be thrown out there. And everyone will be saying that’s where Pogba belongs. And all the stars of European football nearing the ends of their contracts will look and say oh I’m not having any of that.

We actually wouldn't need a Juve loss. If they drew and we won, we'd both have the same amount of points (13) but we'd have a better head-to-head record.

Are Young Boys not just as likely to play a B string team given they have nothing to play for?

No, they are 19 points ahead in the Swiss league and their next game is against the bottom of the league team who have 13 points versus the 46 that Young Boys have just to give you a sense of the gap

I'd imagine Young Boys will be desperate for a Champions League win. It would be truly historic as their first ever CL win and imagine them beating Juve.

Yes it's still unlikely, but they won't have a lack of desire.

It seems like all of them apart from Dalot and Darmian are injured. I think Shaw just came back as well.
Martial is one player I'm especially concerned about for Sunday. I think he'd give TAA some problems.

Greenwood getting 10-15 minutes along with maybe a bit longer for Chong would be a nice bright spot in an otherwise dull season.

    Squad for Valencia game

The following players flew to Valencia.

Goalkeepers (2): Sergio Romero, Lee Grant
Defenders (5): Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo
Midfielders (7): Fred, Andreas Pereira, Ander Herrera, Scott McTominay, James Garner, Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini
Forwards (5): Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood

De Gea and Matic have been rested for the game against Liverpool. Chong and Gomes didn't travel.

    --Ander-Fred-Pogba
    ---Lukaku--Rashford

subs : Fellaini , Mata, Lingard

Jose will find a way to not give Pereira, Garner or Greenwood minutes .. because he hates me.

Mourinho has already said Pogba and Pereira will play.

    Romero
    McTominay - Bailly - Rojo
    Valencia - Pereira - Pogba - Fred - Young
    Lukaku - Fellaini

Wouldn't be surprised to see something like that.

Would leave Mata, Greenwood & hopefully Garner off the bench.

McT at centre back? Why do you hate us?

No youth player in the squad for a dead rubber.

    Must not moan...must not moan.

    Jose press conference:

Kids wont start. Garner is on the bench. Greenwood is backup if any injuries in the game. We have some players who need to start and who deserve to start.

Don't think result or win will have an impact. Juventus is unlikely to lose in Switzerland.

Looking for Pogba to play well and have a good impact in the team. With the team that has not played a lot. Hope he will have a good impact.

Why as a manager you were not able to get best out of Pogba?

    - I don't like the tone. Not answering.

Do you expect Pogba to talk to you like Romelu did?

    - I don't talk about my meetings with players. If Romelu told you about the meetings with me, then it is his decision. It all depends on the players if they are open to words from people who have more experience than them. Open to talk. I talk when I feel like I should talk.

Good to see Garner and Greenwood getting more accustomed to First team set-ups.
I dont expect either to start or feature but getting vital experience will the first team and how they prepare for big CL games is invaluable at this moment in their young careers.
