Get in Big Z
Until we sign a LWB we're going to labour like this.Very silly - arrogant even - to think that we can 'hide' Martinez on defence and play him solely on his ball-playing ability.
A slow, weak, hyperaggressive centre-back. It's almost comical.
A signing basically emblematic of the Ten Hag era.
It’s just one average team getter the better of another.
It'll be less scary than thisFeck this. Off to watch the Terrifier 3.
Yup. It’s an endless cycle. When ETH came in, it was seen as an opportunity to clear out the squad and replace it with quality. Honestly, it looks like Amorim has a harder job post-ETH. We've replaced dross with lower quality dross. To make it worse, we've spent a lot too, which is going to make it hard to shift some of these guys.
ApologisePlayers that genuinely should be sold and replaced:
Licha
Antony
Rashford
Zirksee
Lindelof
Eriksen
Bayindir
Dalot
Malacia
Probably forgetting some.
He's only been here a few weeks, calm your titsGet a better defensive shape and coach in! This back 3 is not going to work in the PL. Stubbornly sticking to one formation is not good management, it may work in a weak league like Portugal but the PL is a different beast. I'm yet to see any sort of improvement it's brought to the play. We can't defend, and we are still toothless in attack. He's been brought in to improve the players but at the moment it looks like his formation is only adding to the problems. This is hardly building confidence in the players if they can't defend.
I love it.I really hate this formation
That’s shamefulFirst attempt on target coming after 62 minutes, fecking hell
They are faster, stronger and technically better than us.
Meh.. he's not been a good signing so far. Despite this goal.Apologise
Those are not mistakes. He is just not good in basic defending. He has a lot of other qualities though.Martinez in theory should be perfect for that LCB role in this team but the amount of mistakes or times he gets caught out now is a big concern.
