My only hope is for the worst offenders to be dropped... I wouldn't mind something like:

    DDG
    Dalot_Lindelof_Bailly_Telles
    Fred_Matic
    Sancho_Bruno_Lingard
    Cavani

Even ignoring the quality of the replacements, I don't think anyone can argue the problem has been individual form. We've been chaotic for weeks, from front to back, completely disorganised. We might eliminate a couple of mistakes from per game if we changed our backline, so it may help a little, but fundamentally the problem goes deeper than that.

I don't disagree but I also don't think the coaches genuinely say "Go out and there just express yourself", this is one of the biggest clubs in the world, it might not be as tactically skewed as we would like but the players aren't doing basics like finding space, moving etc and Maguire and Shaw were bumping into each other! That isn't coaching, that's bad habbits/ lazy and/ or not trying hard enough.

People taking their place in the XI for granted is half the issue as I cannot believe for one minute that the training is as basic as some claim.

Our problem isn't that our players don't move, its that we move in an uncoordinated way. We end up with situations like at Leicester where there's a big gap between our midfield and our strikers, because everyone is just moving where they want and no-one seems to be moving according to an overarching plan.

While I agree, you cannot overlook the reality that Shaw, AWB and especially Maguire are making mental errors that directly lead to immediate goals. And what's worse, Maguire, the captain, is giving up goals because he isn't working hard enough. How a Manchester United captain can have the absolute lack of tenacity he does is unbelievable.

Eliminating a couple defensive mistakes each match might be the difference between 3 points and 0 points because lately it seems that our opponents capitalize on nearly every mistake one of our defenders makes.

Spurs aint Liverpool but they are better than the United team that walked about the Old Trafford pitch on Sunday. They will have to perform a huge improvement in a week to compete, but I fear that won’t happen if Ole is in charge or not. I would drop Bruno and play DVB, play Sancho on the right, Rashford on the left with Ronny in the middle.

I would honestly drop every one he can and play the ones that have been waiting for an opportunity, Still probably go Maguire over Bailly but honestly it’s close.

    DDG
    Bissaka -Lindelof -Maguire -Telles
    Matic
    VDB——-Fred
    Greenwood -Cavani -Sancho
Get people that will actually put in hard work whilst signalling to the others it’s time to sort themselves out. To be honest that might be slightly unfair to some of them as some of what we are seeing are very poor tactics and those guys being asked to perform them.

I think yesterday was the last time we’ll see a back 4 in the big games with Ole in charge.
There Will be a 3-5-2 from now on. He had some success in the big games before if I remember correctly.

    DDG
    Bailly Maguire Varane
    Lingard VdB Matic Telles
    Bruno
    Cavani Ronaldo

Manager: Antonio Conte, hence the 3 at the back.

If it’s Conte, 1-2 United. If it’s still Ole, 0-0. Spurs look absolutely awful as well.

A very rare occasion where we have a whole week to prepare and our opponents have a midweek game. That won’t have happened too often under Solskjaer with our frequent deep cup runs.

I said before Liverpool that I think the Spurs game will be more indicative of whether Ole has a future or not as Manchester United manager. These recent performances defensively have been so bad. It is undermining our ability to get results and will continue to do so. If after a hard week on the training ground we still look as uncoordinated, the club have no choice but to act.
Agreed. We have an entire week to prepare. Anything less than a win means he's lost the team.

He'll still be in charge, they'll get past the City game before changing so the new manager doesn't get a tonking.

Certainties are he won't drop Rashford, Bruno or Ronaldo. I expect Sancho and McFred to start and the same back 4 as always, so basically Sancho in for Greenwood.

    DDG
    AWB - Bailly - Lindelof - Telles
    VdB - Fred
    Sancho - Fernandez - Rashford
    Ronaldo

Subs: Greenwood - Lingard - Cavani

Maguire and Shaw aren't right, McFred isn't working. Greenwood's gone a little cold. Pogba's out, and shouldn't be anywhere near this team for a spell anyway.

As for the lineup - pace, pace, pace... Every time David gets the ball, push it forward ASAP.

Cross, cross, cross - put the ball into the box for Ronaldo.

I've been Ole in from the start, but... At this point, I don't care who is on the sideline, use the squad we've got and find something - anything - that works.

This is definitely the XI I'd want played. Potentially Varane instead of Bailly.

    What should happen:

    De Gea

    AWB Varane Bailly Shaw

    Bruno Matic VDB

    Sancho Cavani Rashford

But Ole is a coward so expect the same old shit.

The current front 3 want to do it by themselves, you need a someone who wants to create for others.

So if Ronaldo is to start I’d play Sancho and Cavani around him.

Rashford has only just come back from surgery so he can have a rest for this one.

Both managers are in a difficult place but it'll be interesting to see which goes for caution knowing that they'll pulled to pieces if they lose. The spurs defence is almost as bad as ours but their attack seems pretty blunt.

    De Gea
    AWB - Lindelof - Varane - Shaw
    Fred - Matic
    Rashford - Bruno - Sancho
    Ronaldo

They're worse than us I think. We'll win even if Ole is still here (hopefully he won't be). Maguire and McTominay should be dropped but probably won't be.

I can see Ole play the same starting line-up against Spurs and losing 2-1. This place would be crazy. I can honestly see that happening although everyone is convinced he will try something new (if he is still employed).

Whilst the blame for the Liverpool loss was mainly on Ole's shoulders, the blame for any loss at Spurs will now surely pass onto the board if Ole is still in charge.

If you see your steak is done, its your fault if you leave it on and it burns.

Imagine the uproar if he’s still in charge Saturday and sticks with the same line up as against Liverpool and Atalanta.

Even if he starts McFred and benches Pogba there will be such a nervous evergy in the stadium the pressure will be massive on the team even before we kick off.

Spurs are a counter attacking team. Expect fast breaks that completely bypass McFred and leave Shawguire in the dust. All meanwhile De Gea stands on the line helplessly watching the goals fly in.

Spurs to score early again but United will have a fair chance to claw it back when they inevitably start sitting back due to their defensive nature.

He needs to play Bruno, Fred and Donny as a proper midfield 3. i.e. Bruno does not play as a false 9. He's given the task of sitting at the base of the midfield and taking the ball from the back line and getting us moving up the pitch quickly.

Play Rashford, Ronaldo and Sancho as the front 3. Sancho, Fred/Donny and Rashford press the defenders when the opposition have the ball. Ronaldo gets a free pass on pressing, but if he plays badly in that then he doesn't play next match and Cavani takes his place.

Are you guys actually gonna watch? I dont know if i can stomach it. I felt physically sick watching the pool game.

I get what you are saying but I don't see Bruno playing as a midfielder even if he is told to. He has to be used in the front three, probably on the right. He would not be any worse than Greenwood defensively and it would allow a more disciplined midfielder to take his position.

Looks like Ole will be manager still. Really pissed on my chips that has.

We'll probably win this and then have to put up with 50 manutd.com instagram and twitter posts about how great we are again before getting twatted by City next week.

It will be the first game I'm intentionally not going to watch.

If Ole believes he can turn this around then I want what he is smoking. Only reason he has not resigned is for the payoff. He is finished and he knows it. I hope I fall asleep before the Spur's game starts. Nuno is not perfect but he is thrice the manager Ole is. I saw a video of Ole pretending to be coach and it reminded me of Rusty, from Griswald's European vacacation, modeling the Italian line. F off.

We will concede 10 or more big chances. Be amazed if Son doesn't score at least 2. This game is a write off due to the blind faith shown in GS.

I know this game is on TV but I'm going to be away and I usually watch them on a crappy river on my pad but I think I might just wait for MOTD highlights and follow the score as I have no enthusiasm for another Oleball game.

well you know what to expect now we know Ole has signed a new 5 year deal

    More of the same

    4-2-4 - shit game incoming
No players dropped sending a message to the squad that no matter how hard you train or make an effort you will not play for United other than a few of them getting a lousy sub appearance.

    No chance of a response
    We will lose
    He wont get sacked

Rinse repeat for Atalanta and City

So Spurs haven’t been doing too well either but have they had a game as easy as Man Utd yet. Could this be the boost they need.

Kane to stop sulking and find some form maybe.

My heart wants a win of course despite my fury that Ole is still in charge. My head says a draw 2-2. Unfortunately I think Ole will live to fight another day.

I fully expect Ole to play pretty much the same team as he usually does and the same tactics therefore he will be signing his own execution, Ole has far too much faith in certain players aka Maguire and it's going to cost him his job, the reports coming out with Bailly questioning Ole i can 100% understand, i'd be piss*d off too,

Maguire, when fit and in form, is, of course, a better player than Bailly but when you are fully fit and the guy who's been injured for a month returns with only 1 training session behind him gets the nod over you you'd be fuming, same with Lingard as well, why keep him here if you are never going to use him, he was in great form last year and also played a crucial part in beating Villareal and hasn't been seen since, for as good a man manager as Ole is reported to be that's extremely poor in my eyes and sends a damn message to the rest of his squad.

Drop Maguire, Bruno & Greenwood for a bit and let's give Lingard, Donny & Bailly a chance, just do something different rather than the same thing and expecting different results = insanity
