Good luck tonight, do a number on them!
Thanks!
Good luck tonight, do a number on them!
Sanchez on the right is no good, his daily bread and butter is to cut in and look for a one-two, shot or take-on. If Spurs had Tobey I‘d say sacrifice Lukaku in order to play Martial but with their current defence I expect a 4-2-3-1 with Sanchez on the left and no Martial.
Tonight cannot come soon enough I'm utterly bored.
Are you serious? This is Tottenham, he has to play.Lukaku should be rested.
You realise he played on the right for Barca?Sanchez on the right is no good, his daily bread and butter is to cut in and look for a one-two, shot or take-on. Jose only plays very conservatively when he thinks the other side is superior or when defending a lead. Not saying this is right but it's just reality. If he thinks his team is strong enough, he sets them up to play on the front foot.
What do you base this on? He might be a bit better on the left but to say he's no good on the right is nonsense.
Damn, well I am real I tell you honest!!
My obsession over wanting to see one of, if not our most in form player play in this match is weird?? And you say it would be funny if he doesn't start? Do you actually want to see us start without our first choice side??
Drat!
This is my prediction as well. IT think this game will have goals so I've gone 3-2 United but could easily see it being 2-0 or 3-0 United. Either way, it should be an entertaining match. I took the afternoon off so I can watch. This is our best chance to prove to the world that we are better than many teams and we talk less. Jose has been quiet and complaining very little in comparison with other managers. He asks specifically of what he wants and gets it. I think Ed and Jose have a very good relationship and it is going to work out splendidly in the coming months and years.
Anyway about the game today,
De Gea
valencia- Smalling- Jones- young(i prefer Shaw)
Matic
Lingard- Pogba
Sanchez- Lukaku- Martial
I hope they start this way and go to wembley with a mindset to win. We got the quality to do it!
Sorry, but he's not in our best XI for this particular game. We'll get dominated if we don't play three in the midfield and that doesn't include Lingard. He's found success in the #10 position, not from the central midfield.
You realise he played on the right for Barca?
Are you related to him?He has been excellent for us, and he has an excellent record at Wembley, why would you not want or think that could continue?
Alot of people think Sanchez will start on the RW in order too accomodate Martial on the left? Im suprised as I cant remember him ever RW at Arsenal.
Would this work ( forgetting players current form)
.......Martial...Lukaku......
sanchez..............Rashford/mata/jesse
......Matic.....Pogba.......
Maybe not the most defensive, but its the only way I can see JM playing sanchez & Martial in their preferred positions.
I think we'll definitely see him start, and we'll play more like we played against Everton than against Liverpool.Sorry, but he's not in our best XI for this particular game. We'll get dominated if we don't play three in the midfield and that doesn't include Lingard. He's found success in the #10 position, not from the central midfield.

I agree with you mate.
The idea that Lingard must be played in this game or it would be wrong to bring him in from the bench beats me despite his good form. Let's all chill and remember that this is not about individuals. It's about the team. We now have the luxury of some flexibility in our attack. If the smartest formation requires us to bring in any player from the bench then so be it. And that includes the inform Lingard and Martial.
Having said that, I do see Jose starting Alexis from the bench and bringing him in to kill off the game. I won't be surprised at all if he does that. Either way, Jose must be relishing the tactical flexibility he now has for the attack and the fact that a number of his players are back from injury while some have been picking up form.
He was rested last game.Lukaku should be rested.
Then why do you care if some posters on the caf are not including him in their line-ups? You do know they don't have a say in the tactics of the manager, do you not?Not that I know of, but I have not done a proper family history going back centuries or anything like that, so who knows.
It's a tough call but I think Martial will be on the bench. Sanchez, Lukaku and Lingard have to start.I can't see how we start both Martial and Sanchez in this, I'd expect Lingard to get the call no matter what
Either essentially the 352 we played vs Arsenal with Smalling, Jones, Rojo / Valencia, Pogba, Matic, Shaw / Lingard / Sanchez, Lukaku
or a 433 with Herrera in for a CB
I don't think (hope?) we will park the bus but we'll be cautious.
Good one.I thought you only knew 3 words?
Have you seen his stats overall for each position he's played? He played on the left also but iirc that was because at first they had David Villa has a senior player there and later bought Neymar.
Besides you're missing the point, I'm not saying he can't play there I'm saying it's not playing to his strenght and I outlined why that is. So unless you're going to explain why it's not benefitting his strenght my point stands.
On the fact that he is really right-footed and his great finishing ability which imo would be wasted on the left.

Looking at the goals he's scored over the recent years, not a huge amount of them have been him cutting in from the wing and shooting ala Robben. He finds himself centrally quite a lot.

That's a bit too Fifa'ish, no way we will line up like that against Tottenham.Alot of people think Sanchez will start on the RW in order too accomodate Martial on the left? Im suprised as I cant remember him ever RW at Arsenal.
