At least we drew, I can think of plenty of worst games. Fulham inly had a few shots on target, they got lucky for the draw.

The reason it was awful was that it summed up our lack of ideas. We don't look much different now with Fellaini long ball though tbh

That match was cartoonish in its one-sidedness... We had a well-crafted first goal in this one, and the long balls to Fellaini were not our general approach to the match, nor was crossing our general approach. You'll want to re-watch that Fulham match if you think we looked equally devoid of ideas today.

You also forget that this was a Fulham side that were storming towards relegation, and it was at Old Trafford. The fact that we scrapped a point from that match says feck all. I've never been so incredulous over our predictability before.

Fellaini pointless today, RVP exceptionally useless, playing wingers and CBs as fullbacks. Waste of a match especially as I doubt any of those things get changed soon. Feels like everyone is being asked to put the brakes on which is why we don't hit teams quickly and directly. Frustrating

Rooney is long past his sell by date and with RVP and Fellaini there is little movement through the channels inside the box. We had enough posession until Swansea scored and were trying to walk into the goal.

Rooney has turned into a jack of all trades under Van Gaal. Today he started up top but it wasn't long before he was dropping deep. He doesn't seem to shoot anymore either which is infuriating. Instead of looking for the cute pass in the box, he should try hitting the fecking ball once in a while. Same goes for Van Persie. Fabianski caught just about every cross and corner but he didn't have a shot to save after Herrera's goal.

If van Persie would blow his feckin' nose before the game he may be able to concentrate on his football more.
Seriously, every time the camera was on him, he was either picking his nose or blowing snot from it. What's wrong with him?

I used to be proud that in the dying minutes of a game, chasing it, if we got a free kick near the centre circle we'd take a short one and build up an attack.

    Now we lump it.

    Shameful.

You and me both. I'd rather have Moyes.
Even if we were in 12th place I still would not want Moyes…. this season won't change the fact that he did a terrible job. Better to say bring back Fergie (if only)...

Mate we spent £150 and it's the closing stages of the season. This isn't a work in progress, nor is it a budget team.

Wake the feck up why don't you. This is no longer fan impatience. This is the reflection of a huge gap between investment and end product.
Ah, @vibe, but of course! You made your point so elegantly you just turned me clean around. Yes, NOW I hear the rumble of distant thunder. What a waste of someone else's money. United will probably be relegated. This team will never score another goal. Sam Alldardyce for manager next year. Year after that we are playing in the Scottish league. Thanks for the wake up call, mate.

Swansea's Jonjo Shelvey, whose shot deflected off Bafetimbi Gomis for the winning goal: "I'd love to claim it but it has hit Gomis. If it doesn't hit him then it probably wouldn't have gone in.

"David De Gea is a world-class keeper so he probably would have saved my shot."

Barcelona lost at home to Malaga, Chelsea drew at home to Burnley, sack everyone, everyone's useless, oh help we lost , sack everyone ,sack the team, spend another 300m - oh I'm a hysterical schoolgirl

The difference is that we've played subpar this whole season, mate.

(Oh, by the way, Barca might very well sack Luis Enrique soon. Just saying' ...)

Only consolation for me is it's 2am here and I'm off to bed.
No wank though. I'm just not in the mood, sorry.

United has tried all attacking combinations and still cannot find one potent enough.
Now we are all confused and really do not know who can score the goals to take them to at least 4th in the league. Has LVG put so much pressure on the players that they are scared to try using their skill to do something special? LVG has said repeatedly that the players will be selected based on training performances but some players can do it better than during games as the pressure is different.
The stubborn LVG should have bought some decent defenders during the January window to strengthen the defence. Some of the defenders is really poor and inconsistent this season.

So how the feck were they jammy? FFS, do you think before you type.
They scored a deflected goal after being pinned in their own box for 15 minutes and went on to win a game that neither team deserved to win. Us not creating clear cut chances does not automatically mean the other team deserves to win. Do you need anything else blatantly obvious explained to you or are we done here? Because I'm done attempting to explain very simple concepts to you.

Feck me, isn't the main thing this season too finish top 4 no matter how we get there? We are still in the top 4 at this moment in time so up too now LVG is doing what is being asked by us...

Oh yeah, since when did everyone become top managers?

Since your that good a explaining concepts maybe you should have a word with LVG buddy.

    You're boring me now.

No that was at the beginning of the season when we had zero first team defenders, when was the last motm performance from him, damn sure it hasn't been this side of Christmas. I know you're upset but you're either making stuff up or you don't pay attention.
Hahaha I totally agree with you bro.

Yes of course we have, we lost a game and didn't play that bad, some people seem almost happy that we lost

Agree to disagree, then. I don't think we played all that well at all. Sure, we had lots of possession, but we hardly produced any real chances.

I've been sick of LvG for a good while, I must admit, but this just settles it for me. I just don't think he's the man for our club.

Im usually calm and composed but to put it calmly. fear is gripping the fans and once results start floundering, so does the belief that Van Gaal should be trusted for another season, we can't chop and change managers and we cant carry on with this dire style of football, there is literally no roads to salvation for us. Today I am depressed and I feel like this is permanent decline and truly the dark days are upon us, I am in a foul mood, I have lost alot of hope today and strange thing is I feel it is in the club capacity to drown furthermore into the wilderness.

Maybe I will lighten up and be positive another day, however today it feels darker than any day under Moyes.
Why because Moyes is past and the present is always more painful.

Arsenal are on fire and have overtaken us, If Southampton draw they overtake us, Spurs are strongest out of the top 4 contenders in my opinion and Liverpool have sturridge back and progress now.

Maybe I am being dramatic, but this a massive nail in the coffin for a declining side struggling to move from the glory days.

Excuse my post as I cry into my rum.

Where would you even start there? Judging by today I think Moyes was having a word with him about crosses.

Lol getting to be a joke this 5 formations a game! I wonder we we always look disjointed!

Harsh to lose this game but it was one of our best away performances
    I agree.

Most thought the team was good (maybe slight surprise at McNair and Jones), but largely it was a good team. Nothing wrong with the formation, our first goal showed what we can do. Just a mindset thing with the players. The game was pretty much played in their half.

You either want an attacking line up and accept you get hit OR you want a defensive line up with little attack. If the latter people should shut the f*ck up about wanting the creative players on the park.

In the end Shaw did an Evra and went to sleep straight after our goal. Shelvey's goal was Di Maria getting caught out of position, giving Shelvey space and time to shoot.

Just a bad result. Today showed why I don't want Rooney as a striker, as the game went on and we needed a goal he spent most of his time outside the box. Nice tika tak at times, but no real goal threat. RVP had lots of effort, but seriously lacking in form.

That's pretty much what I thought.

When I think of Fellaini, I think of sluggishness and lethargic. When people say Manchester United, those are two words that never come to mind.

Robin Van Persie was brutal. There were times when Mn. United teams didn't look that great, but they always had match winners. Sadly, RVP used to be a match winner. Nowadays, he looks like a broken down horse. Maybe they should have kept Welbeck and sold RVP.

Again, like I've written before, the play down the flanks is horrible. Nobody takes anybody on. The crosses are most from 20 yards or so from the bi-line. To be quite honest, I shocked at how little Luke Shaw offers in this regard. For them money that was spent on him, I expect a lot more. Today also, he didn't track his player on the first goal. Maybe, I'm wrong on that and need to see another replay to confirm that. As you said, playing CB at RB, what's that all about.

Funny thing is, this squeaky bum that apparently LVG has, squeaks a lot even though players are not attacking the opposition. Either they can't or they are specifically told not to take the opponents on: just pass.

That was as pretty as ineffective as I've seen Mata come on. He didn't have much time, but it was if he was on the pitch.

Finally, the first and second goals. First goal, there was 3-2 in favour of Swansea that led to that cross. For the second, Shelvey was afford huge amounts of space. I never seen United players afforded that kind of space. Frankly, when it came to defending, Swansea were far more committed to put the work in. Because of that, they took all three points.

Lol getting to be a joke this 5 formations a game! I wonder we we always look disjointed!
Most people settle for one that works. Maybe that's his philosophy, that he doesn't have a philosophy.

I'm trying not to get too down about today though. We weren't great but it's not an easy away fixture and it's only 2 defeats in 20. We were never going to win every match until the end of the season. I just hope(not a big hope at all) that he figures it out soon. I'm genuinely just tired of being utterly pissed off after our matches. I'm burned out on it.
