But maybe write off today..Clevs finds himself in good positions sometimes but does feck all with it, so frustration to watch. No running from the wingers, no overlapping, no space. Agreed. His lack of pro training is really apparent in his technique and general composure when connecting with the ball in general. An that shakiness/ uncertainty transfers to other players. Which is partly why Smalling, in particular, barely ever looks in unison with any partner he plays with.
I, too, just don't see it. Fills me with no confidence.
Truthfully, he's the kind of player usually playing for Sunderland against us, who plays reasonably well. One or two would state 'He looks good. I'd take a punt on him.' To which the majority reply 'he's not United standard. Back up at most.'We have no midfield. Says a lot when Cattermole is the best central midfielder on the pitch.
