That bench really highlights our lack of attacking options. Hopefully the front 4 on the pitch get the job done so we don't see hoofball to Fellaini in the last 10 minutes...
Attacking midfielder...How exactly is playing in the #10 spot classed as midfield? It's a 2nd striker, as he has been for most of his career.
Young can play on the right wing too and he's surely better than Valencia there.
A #10 is not an attacking midfielder unless you consider Cantona, Yorke and Sheringham midfielders.Attacking midfielder...
I always think Young's a bit shit on the right wing whenever he plays there... which is weird, 'cos in theory he should be fine there.

The fact he see Fellaini as a striker is the worry. That bench really highlights our lack of attacking options. Hopefully the front 4 on the pitch get the job done so we don't see hoofball to Fellaini in the last 10 minutes...
Sitting back and waiting to counter on us isn't a genius move, Ronald.Koeman has stated that he's got a few tricks up his sleeve to use against us.

The sheet makes it look like Rojo is at CB. Not sure I like that really.Slightly concerned about the left side of our defence. I think I'd have preferred to see the CB pairing unchanged and put Young in at LB, but hopefully it'll work out.

We don't play a 4-4-2 anymore though do we....A #10 is not an attacking midfielder unless you consider Cantona, Yorke and Sheringham midfielders.

De Gea
Darmian - Smalling - Rojo - Blind
Schneiderlin - Carrick
Mata - Rooney - Depay
Martial
I'm guessing it will look like this?

Rooney's instinct to spread it out wide will be interesting to watch. He's going to find neither Mata nor Darmian at the end of them crosses.
Don't you remember at the start of the season when Memphis was playing centrally and people were complaining about him being dead high up rather than as a third midfielder?LVG doesn't play two up top.... show me when he has done so since arriving at OT
Do you consider Sneijder, David Silva and Riquelme strikers then?A #10 is not an attacking midfielder unless you consider Cantona, Yorke and Sheringham midfielders.
Van Gaal moves in mysterious ways. Then why cancel the loan deals at the last moment?
Did for me as well, I think. I am sure I had Ashley in and that Rooney would weedle his way back in at No. 9. 10/11 isn't bad though.10/11 .Pesky Martial.
Didn't Falcao partner Van Persie for a bit?LVG doesn't play two up top.... show me when he has done so since arriving at OT
