I’m glad Mata’s starting. We desperately needed some one to put some zip in our passing.
What's with Wolves team that is treated like a prime Barcelona round here.
Horrible recruitment for about 10 years and appointing a different manager with a different playstyle every 2-3 years is what got us here.Look at the front 3's across the league that we are competing with and then see ours . How did we actually get to this stage
Sarcasm is unbecoming
I would've liked to see Greenwood start, perhaps even Williams at left back too.
Not sure about the lineup, be interesting to see how we get on.
Sure. There's a chance all the Southampton players have a sudden bout of flu and they forfeit...I'm not asking for delusion but can we have a bit of optimism please?
Honestly thing there's not much in quality between both teams.
This is why many peoples expectations from this season are unrealistic.Looking at that Southampton team, ours doesn't look much better.
What makes you think January will be more hopeful? I am gobsmacked that we are so threadbare. This is Man Utd not a Sunday football side
Juan has been chomping at the bit eh. Lovely, Ole has said Lingard will probably come off the bench.
I'll say it'll probably be a draw but yes, we're very beatable
. What else can I say about the state of that line up for one of the world's biggest club
Anyone thinking Greenwood would start this game needs their head testing
I'm suggesting this the worst attack we have started in a league game, that isn't an end of season dead rubber, in the Premier League era.Are you saying this is the worst team we have put out in a league match for the last 20 years?
Fair enough though isn't it? Lingard has gotten less minutes each game and Ole has shown he's not afraid to drop him if he doesn't perform. Ole will be looking for a reaction when he comes off the bench. Let's just hope one of Pereira / Mata outperform him so Ole can justify not starting Lingard again next game.
Just like the first XI then. That's our squad. Better get used to it and buckle up for a long season and stressful season! That bench looks, ehm, not so strong.
Periera, who is even worse than Lingard.Who are we gonna blame now Lingard is dropped???
Nah it’s ok, it will still be his fault
I'm not going to trawl through lineups for the next 30 minutes, but I'm absolutely convinced you are wrong. We've had some terrible lineups in the past.I'm suggesting this the worst attack we have started in a league game, that isn't an end of season dead rubber, in the league in the Premier League era.
Up for anyone suggesting a worst attack.
Periera, who is even worse than Lingard.
We have played a 4231 in all of our games, including pre season, so you'd naturally think one of Pereira or Mata will play wide.
We've always had top strikers, even in our poor teams. It's the worst we've had. Things are that bad.I'm not going to trawl through lineups for the next 30 minutes, but I'm absolutely convinced you are wrong. We've had some terrible lineups in the past.
Yeah sure. He was terrible aside from the goal though. Lingard is much in his general play. Hopefully Periera improves.Pereira has 1 assist in 1 game. Lingard has... nothing in 3
No point watching the game, we've already lost
