What concerns me right now is the inspiration teams in the bottom half are getting from each other. WBA, Fulham, Brighton all pulled big performances of late. Sheffield United have nothing to fear by taking the game to us.
We have to work hard against this lot. I saw a half arsed City think they could roll over WBA. Didn’t quite work out
That's unlikely to happen. They will be wary of United's counter attacking threat and difficulties in breaking teams down.

SU have been nothing short of shocking this season. What I’ve seen of them shows how they give up possession very easy and don’t press or hassle as a group - they leave gaps all over the place. There would have to be questions asked if we don’t outplay them tomorrow night. They are bottom of the table for a reason.
The same can’t be said for Leeds. Sat watching them now and the can play football. If Bielsa was managing Arsenal for example, they would be walking this league. Leeds are consistently let down by a slight lack of quality. They create so many chances.

Everyone beside Liverpool and Tottenham had make the path for us to get top 4 and even a chance for title challenge.

    Please win.

Maximum points away to Everton and Southampton looks more than decent now. Hopefully no slip ups and maximum points is taken tomorrow evening.

Gabby Logan ends it by saying I wonder what Sheffield Utd can do, right boys make sure she is made to eat those words good and proper tomorrow night

Do you have some weird angst against Gabby Logan?

Just pointing out the usual media disrespect and hopefully that will inspire us to get the job done tomorrow night
Anyone who isnt a United fan should want Sheff Utd to win tomorrow and rightly so?

    It's not disrespect just sport.

Probably still feeling wound up that Liverpool won and bothered me more than it really should have

That first game against Leipzig showed us we should be able to rest a couple of players and still get the job done.

    Henderson
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Telles
    Matic Pogba
    Greenwood Van de Beek James
    Martial

Get Rashford and Bruno on if it's going tits up.

Sheffield United are shite but they haven’t been pumped too many times this year. We need an early goal. If we don’t get that it could be as hairy as the West Brom game or even as calamitous as the Arsenal one.

Whoever plays has to be totally focused and committed. Man United don't have enough consistent quality to go through the motions. Don't think Sheffield can touch Bruno or Greenwood, so hopefully they can be on it from the start. Obviously looking for a full 3 points, but Sheffield have been plucky this season regardless what their point total has been up to this point. This isn't Man United v Reading or Wigan of years gone by.

Score 2 goals and it should be done and dusted, but we'll find out!

With today's results, if we win tomorrow we'll be third on projected points (avg pts taken x 38). Narrowly behind Tottenham.

    Liverpool 81.8
    Tottenham 73.1
    Man Utd 72.8
    Southampton 70.2
    Leicester 70.2

    So, please win tomorrow. :)

For those worrying about our consistency, we currently have the strongest form in the league - no one has a better record over their last 5 games, or an equally good one (4-1-0).

We need a strong start. I still think we need to think outside the box. That means trying to win the game by the time the final whistle is blown. Use the subs to win the match. Bring on tactical changes. Be proactive not reactive.

I think you guys are making this a harder game than it should be. It should be a comfortable night for us to be honest.

Would be typical of us to give them their first win of the season.

I also have a soft spot for them because I lived across the road from Bramall Lane for a year but we seriously need to win this.

Things are never that easy. I think it's going to be tougher than we think. I've predicted a 0-3 win, but I feel Ole will drop a few players and we will struggle to get going.

We should really drop Bruno and Rashy, then bring in VDB and Mata as Leeds will be a really difficult game.

If we fail to make ground on so many teams dropping points again I’ll be livid.

Unfortunately it's nailed on. Everyone above us dropped points except Liv and Eve.

If I could bet I'd definitely bet 50 USD on us losing. Guaranteed.

    Fixed for you

City, Chelsea and Spurs dropped points so it's a given that we will do the same.

Let’s not rest Bruno please! Start him and then sub him off early if we get a few. Let’s not underestimate them. Results have gone our way and we need the points!

As opposed to after the final whistle is blown? :p

This game against Sheffield is a tricky one, on paper it should be a walk in the park but we really do need an early goal against Sheffield to calm the nerves. Sheffield have been on a diabolical run but the longer the game tonight stays scoreless the more Sheffield will gain confidence, dig in and believe they can get a result.

    Inappropriate Behavior

I'd like to make Gabby Logan eat something...words weren't what I was thinking
