The results of this match is dependent on whether or not Rashford/Martial shows up, because I do not trust the midfielders to score. Tactics can only take you so far, you could set up chances on a plate but if they dont take them then the result is dropped points.

Sheffield play with a very unique style I feel. The overlapping centre backs randomly making runs into the danger areas probably makes Jones a better shout with his experience and given Tuanzebe has only just returned to fitness.

An away game to this side is probably too soon for Garner. I don't know why some fans are having a hissy fit over it.

It's a good line up in my opinion.

The wing backs won't do much attacking. It's clearly a safety first counter attack formation. Rash and James will probably be left and right midfielders tracking back, rather than straight up wingers/forwards

Do people honestly think we should start Gomes at CM in an away game against an in form opposition after he just came back from an extended injury break?

This is probably the best lineup we could come up given the circumstances. I don't think it will be enough to win today, given our away form and our midfield options, but the atrociously dumb decision to not strengthen our midfield in the summer is to be blamed for that.

With our away form and record in general against teams outside the top six plus losing McTominay, Sheffield United are favourites for the match so I can see why Sparky mentioned it being a shock. To win today won't be easy but I'm optimistic.

In our last 10 Premier League away games we have recorded 1 victory.

Fred and Andreas aren't exactly defensive midfielders. Option seemed to be either an extra centre back or Mata, the latter of which I can't see working despite having him in my prediction.

I didnt get it then and I still dont get it. What is wrong with a manager asking his new players to watch video of a player he has coached before to illustrate the point he was making ?

Visual aid is always better .
