Casemiro's been terrible since his return from suspension and it's very concerning
That's a tough market, not a whole lot of top level options unless you blow 100M+ on Maignan if Milan doesn't play the CL next season.
At this point I’d just take any mediocre Premier League level keeper. They don’t have to be ‘top level’. Literally just a safe pair of hands. Some big lad who can dominate his six yard box and claim easy crosses and boot the ball down the pitch if there’s any danger from a press.

Not pretty but I’m just so so sick of all these unforced defensive and goalkeeping errors fecking us over (while paying £400,000 a week for the privilege too)

I wonder if DDG will be lowering his wage demands in the morning.

He'd be invisible like he is every game. McTominay is the only player that gets better when he doesn't play

Possibly, but he finally had a couple of decent games then gets injured and with Cas at about 40% and Eriksen moving like an old man he might have been a decent option.

This. Can't believe our attacking play is so heavily reliant on just one player. Massive reinforcements needed in the summer if we have to win any silverware! Ridiculous
We have been shit plenty of times with Bruno though so not so sure about that

    We were just inexcusable shit

Maguire and De Gea in big games let us down so often, they set the tone for a shit evening from the off.

Both need to go in the summer, I wouldn't even offer De Gea a new contract after tonight, this isn't the first, second, third or even fourth time he's collapsed in a big game. He's simply finished at the top level and giving him another contract over 100k would be a bad business.

The performance tonight was pretty horrendous but even with a good performance we would have gone out from the number of goals we gifted them.

I like him a lot but he’s overseen a lot of stinkers this season, don’t think he knows how to fix it when it goes badly wrong.

He has flaws, no doubt. I don't think he's at the level we think he's at. We were massively mentally underprepared for this. They team looked scared from the kick-off.

I do feel ETH has had too many shit the bed moments in a short time.

    First game of the season.
    Liverpool away
    Man city away
    Arsenal away
    tonight

Not saying we win all these games but lets be honest we stunk the place out in them all bar arsenal. Is he bottling it?

If Qatar take over let’s just drop a long contract like Chelsea do. Write it off the books medium term

Let’s not pretend he isn’t awful aswell as DDG. They’re both shockers and should be sold in the summer. Instead we’re offering DDG a new deal! Hopefully this changes ETH mind.

I think De Gea performs much better when Maguire isn't in front of him, there were some poor decisions from a lot of players tonight, both De Gea and Maguire were culpable, but the whole team were just lacklustre all game.
We certainly need a new CB, and most certainly a striker. Martial is a talented lad, but too many injuries, and he's too deep to cause defenders too many problems.

Think the ending to the first leg knocked the stuffing out of them, it shouldn't have done but I suspect it did. As a lot have said that defence does not trust each other and losing both Varane and especially Martinez is a disaster.

This isn't a good Sevilla team, let's be honest. But I'd give my left but to see us okay like that. That's all I want. The energy, desire, aggression. We're fecking shit to watch even on our better days. When I see teams come at us like that I remember exactly what we are not.

No point commenting on the performance as that goes beyond saying. But I think the majority was caused by Sevilla and their tactics. We hate that physicality and their manager played a blinder.

I hope we withdraw De Gea’s contract offer after that. I’ve always been a big defender of his. I don’t buy that footwork is all the key given the likes of Courtois etc do fine.

What I can’t abide though is his all round game is not good enough. His lack of intensity, awareness, command of his area and his passing. His shot stopping is inconsistent these days and perhaps his fatal flaw is he plays very poorly under pressure. He has made huge mistakes in big games for both us and Spain.

It seems crazy to have to let him walk for free but it’s time to move on.

Third is just the second best loser. It means fcuk all to me. Also Chelsea and Liverpool have had horrible seasons, I doubt we will finish higher next season with out drastic changes. This team is mentally weak and also still has far too many useless players.
Besides, being 3rd when you're so far away from the best teams is nothing to ecstatic about. It's something to appreciate for what it's worth

Genuinely interested how he's at fault for some of these performances when there was so little depth to pick from with the injuries. Every player has played poorly.

His stupid subs last week when Sevilla were there for the taking turned this tie on its head.

Bringing off Bruno, Martial and Sancho for Weghorst and Elanga. Completely nullified our attack and gave them the platform and impetus to get back into the game.

If we'd waited another 15-20 minutes to make those changes we'd have been 3-4 nil up and they'd have folded. Game and tie would have been over.

The subs were arrogant and naive, we were playing Sevilla in the quarter final of a European Competition. Not Stockport in the 3rd round of the League Cup. You don't make 3 subs in the 55th minute of a European Quarter final.

We need the Sheikh to come in.

    New goalkeeper.
    Harry Kane.
    Two-three new midfielders.
    Atleast a new CB.
    right back.
Bloody hell we need a new team again.

What I dont get is the lack of urgency, the lack of passion... when down we were out. It is a disgrace. We have players, and we know who they are, who when the going gets tough, they hide. Even the subs were bizarre. What did Wan-Bissaka do to be hauled off. What on earth are we putting on Weghorst when we need goals. Seriously, everything about this harks way back to the bad old days. A new dawn? Not based on this utter shambles.

Harry Kane? That is hilarious. Why would he come to Old Trafford.

Imagine having to some how turn up on Sunday after this, put in a good passionate performance to reward the fans and then get to play City in the final as a reward.

I’m very much looking forward to the season ending to be honest, at least then we can all get excited about expecting but not actually selling any of the shite we want sold whilst overpaying for players we do sign and still somehow find ourselves miles off from being a top team next season.

Then again if someone offered top 4 and a cup at the start of season I would have bit their hand off, one down, surely not even this lot can balls up the second part.

A number of our new faces have helped us in that regard. Generally Martinez, Malacia, Casemiro and Antony are up for the fight. Garnacho as well.

Unfortunately, we had an Ole team out there today. De Gea, Lindelof, Maguire, Sancho and Martial all play with a lack of intensity. It’s half the team and it’s too many.

5 cockups.. = a crappy side can win a tie of football ... absolutely shambolic 2 games.. roll on Sunday. Martial back in the physio room by looks of it... sell the git along with Sancho and Maguire

I'm 100% behind ETH, but we need to call it like it is: the last two months have been absolutely dire.

This was a Europa League quarter final. Any human being would show some kind of urgency and fire. This lot?

After tonight we would need to pay of both Maguire and De Gea to get rid of them. Whether you like it or not we need Qatari money and fast.

    He's not.

Not even worth half that of a quarter of that.

I genuinely believe he is one of the most over rated keepers in the history of the game.
ETH has been hamstrung by awful decisions made by the previous manager and Woodward. Renewing contracts that were not deserved. Overpaying fees and big wages to players not worth anywhere near those amounts.
