Yeah this game is gone. Heads have dropped.

Nothing surprising though. After how the first leg ended, this goal is a devastating blow.

I can't see us turning this round if in being brutally honest. Just don't think the attack has the nouse for this occasion.

It's evident that its Maguire's fault. I am watching it in Italian and the commentator doesn't even mention ddg at all. There again I am not surprised that the British media is blaming it on a Johnny foreigner

Spot on. If Martinez had received that, he'd have been aware of the space behind him and left 3 Sevilla players out of position.

But De Gea can see that Maguire is being pressed by three players. Why play it to him in that situation?

    Unable to advance the ball.

An underrated aspect of Bruno, how he always gives an option to the midfield for a pass. feck the ref

People defending De Gea is really odd. It was a bad pass period. Doesn't matter if it was Xavi that asked for the ball. It was a hospital pass.

Robbie clearly going mental here about De Gea. Saw the goal again and Maguire clearly calls for the ball but hey blame De Gea for doing it

The agenda crowd is out in full force tonight. Even a blind monkey could see that this was all on Maguire.

They’re both at fault. Maguire fecks up the pass and should be scanning enough to know what’s around him. De gea is daft for passing to him when marked.

Martinez has recieves that he turns and we’re away. The keeper can see that, Maguire asks for the ball the keeper will assume Maguire can also see that.
He has known Barry long enough to know how that's going to go, we all fecking knew and we don't train with the twat every day.

DDG has to use 1/2 a brain cell and realise that Maguire has 3 players around him so it be best not to pass him the ball.

That goal is 100% on Maguire, first he dallies for his initial pass back to DDG, then he calls for it back and fecks it up.

    He's dogshit.

The 1st lack of awareness is from DDG, who has all the whole pitch in front of him and clearly sees what's going on. Maguire should have known as well but it's far less easy to see when you're right in the middle.

De Gea saw his captain ask for the ball with 30 yards of space behind him. He shouldn’t have to worry about someone turning like the titanic

I’m sorry, DeGea was well within his right to play the ball to a defender who scanned and asked for the ball. The example above is Middlesborough for gods sake.

    Maguire is totally at fault.

You can’t ask to play out from the back, but hoof it if you’re under pressure. It doesn’t work like that.

Maguire is playing with De Gea 4 years now. And they have zero communication. Lisandro is here less than a year and has a good connection with Dave

I'm completely unable to comprehend how anyone is putting the blame solely on De Gea or Maguire for that goal, rather than both together.

It's horrendously stupid from both of them.

Sabitzer previously won a lot of long balls, not today.

Savage needs to shut up, yes De Gea was dumb but it’s mostly on Maguire
It’s 50/50, De Gea can see what’s ahead and should find a different pass or clear it. Maguire shouldn’t have been facing his goal and then his dodgy first touch takes it away from him. Both players have been at fault countless times over the years, I think they both create nervousness at the back.
