And it begins, people, let's wait until the end of the game and after seeing what Jose has in mind to criticize.

We have multiple times seen what happened when the caf likes a line up..... just stop with this negativity before the game. it's tiring and it's pushing the rest of us out of here!

Lampard gets it but our own fans don’t

Not the end of the world people...

I am sure that's what Mourinho is trying but not sure Pogba will take it right way. But then, if a player sulks when this happens rather than trying to work his way back and get better, that's not what we want from someone in a team game, no matter how much talented.

People whining about the lineup, remind how well a lineup of Pogba, Lingard, Martial, Sanchez and Lukaku worked out playing Spurs & Newcastle?
In fact, Caf's dream lineups have pretty much never ever worked IRL. Some cleary play too much FM or FIFA :D

Not sure which side is more funny, Tys of the RedCafe or their opposition.

I thought Banega was supposed to be out with an injury. Maybe he's not fully fit. Let's hope so anyway.

Happy that at least Martial is not playing on right and Jose has not tried to somehow fit 6 attackers in to the team.

With that team we might play pretty shit like the Huddersfield game and win or get hammered early and try to fix it with Martial and Lingard but we won't.

Not bothered about Pogba as he's not been putting the effort in on the pitch so it won't make much difference. Signing Sanchez for LW to relegate both Martial and Rashford to the bench is baffling to me though.

Pogba not starting doesn't bother me too much. I think we'll be fine without him. Mourinho obvisouly trusts McTominay so that's enough for me.

Or win quite comfortably. Feck knows, really.

What a lineup! This is so insane I actually think I'm going to change my score prediction from 1-1 to 1-3.

Cmon Jose, you finally go with 3 in midfield and leave our best player out!

The game plan is obviously play for a draw and maybe nick a win if we can.

I can't see any of the line-up tweets but I'm still outraged.

Mctominay, Herrera and Matic in a midfield 3 is what's worrying most people I feel. Still you would have to imagine that the strategy has been worked on during the week, I'm sure Jose knows what he is doing.

Mata, Sanchez and Lukaku linked up really well last time out so I'm happy with that front three. I wouldn't have started Lindelof but perhaps Bailly isn't quite ready for ninety minutes yet. The Pogba situation isn't clear, he could still be getting over an illness and only be ready for a sub appearance - who knows. The midfield three is fine.

In defence, Smalling and Young are the biggest hoof merchants when pressed in our own half and they will be pressed big time tonight. In our midfield there's little creativity and no ball carriers but plenty of industry.

I think we're in for another long ball/hoof fest special.

I cannot see us winning here. The plan is clearly to play for a 0-0. With that defence, I'd be amazed.

Oddly, I'm more disappointed that Shaw isn't playing. I thought he showed glimpses of bravery last game. Oh well. I'll know how I feel about the team selection after the game.

    Mourinho's latest injury update
MUTV have just screened a quick chat with Mourinho from Seville, filmed yesterday, in which he gave no hint of any problems with Pogba or Shaw.

    Everyone is well, he said.

What a slow lineup. Don't get why martial is benched. Hee been great.

I wouldn't about them too much if I were a United fan. The two games I watched them in Vs LFC they were pretty dire and if not for Liverpools amazing ability to throw away leads with comical clown-like defending it'd have been two easy wins. You have a far superior tendency to keep a lead and shut teams out so I'm expecting a cakewalk here, 3-0 or so with barely a trouble and then close it out over in Spain with a draw or close win. Playing McTominay shows Mourinho doesn't fear them at all and he's got every right to think like that, they're no more threat than West ham.
