Quite surprised Mctominay is starting, the management team must really have faith in his ability.
Cant help but feel that Jose is setting himself up for a fall tonight. Should we lose the midfield battle and ultimately the game, then he will come in for quite a bit of stick from fans and pundits alike.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Highlights the lack of professionalism some so called 'pundits' have. They don't do any research or watch football outside England.Not worried, Sevilla are not very good.

Bailly ?The thing with Pogba, on a bad night, that a 3 man midfield with him included is still not a 3 man midfield, it is a 2 with Pogba just roaming where he wants.If we assume that Pogba isn't fully fit this XI makes some sense, doesn't it?
And if Pogba is fit, this XI confirms what most of us suspected (or feared), which is that Jose will set up to defend and counter, come what may.

I can't see any of the line-up tweets but I'm still outraged.Looks like reports were right. Good team, despite Pogba not being in there.
Midfield three full of energy, where you'd expect them to provide a foil for the front three, who, given the chance should cause plenty of damage on the counter like we saw against Huddersfield.
We also have a fantastic bench, so if we need a goal, then we have plenty that can contribute to that.@roonster09 6th choice

When you pick a team like that you’re asking the players to get on the ball and play through the park.....we never do that so it’s counter productive. Expect another game of the defenders and fullbacks hoofing the ball upfield expecting Lukaku to work wonders.
Awful line up I fear the worst having seen how we play. It’s gonna be a slow, frustrating night.
I have to agree, there's a lot to like about the lineup. But some have ruled us out even before playing.
TBH, that's better than starting him on the right as long as Sanchez is playing on the left.No Pogba, Lingard, or Martial? And I love McTominay, but slotting him in an important UCL away game?

It's like that old Kit Kat advert.It's good to know if things aren’t going well during the game, we have got so much firepower on the bench.Why is it every other English team in the CL has played attacking football and it’s been decent to watch and have done well on the back of it and we pick this utterly terrible lineup, I just know what’s coming. Negative crap football. I have backed Jose 100% but if this back fires and I have no doubt it will, he’s going to be under huge pressure and rightly so. I actually think he’s going for 0-0 which is an awful score line in an away CL match but it’s now the best we can hope for, especially with those two clowns at CB.
