The referee has to get a grip of this game, he's all over the place, and it's getting a little bit too physical out there. Still can't believe that booking on Pellistri.

I don't know what to say about this performance so far, but we need to be better going forward. Rashford has had an off day so far and Weghorst has been really poor.

So it’s not just the premier league refs who are shite. At least 2 of their players should be on a yellow and nothing.
Hopefully Erik will make some decent subs or Fred turns up in the second half again.

We're 75% of the way there so can't really complain, but we hung on a bit at some periods. Our final pass has been truly shocking at times. The lack of technical ability in some of our players are astounding, especially when you see almost every Spanish side doing the basics very well. Players regularly falling over isn't helping either.

I'll be annoyed if we don't score here, there is a lot of space out there. But as long as we keep them out for another 20 mins, and this tie is over.

Can't see how anyone thinks Fred is doing well. He can't stop giving the ball away. Weghorst hasn't been bad. Rashford looks a bit lost and our defence look scared.

DeGea has made some good saves in that first half while the rest of the team took a nap. Betis easily could be 2-0 here and we'd be shitting ourselves. DeGea had some comedy passing but he's kept us in this tie almost singlehandedly.

Call it an excuse if one wishes, but key players like Rashford and Bruno are clearly fatigued. We know what we were getting when we got Wout. This is Pellistri's first start.

This was never a day for champagne football. An ugly draw suits us just fine. Even a 1-0 defeat is no bother.

Outright atrocious. Pellistri was in an attacking position and clearly extended the leg to pass the ball to a teammate. What did the ref want him to do?

Watch him when the ball comes to him, he's playing straight on and has no idea what's behind him. That's why he wastes good situations.

It's a simple thing to play on the half turn. He doesn't seem to be able to do it with any regularity.
