Betis will have to come at us, leaving lots of space for the Warhorse to get in and score a hat trick. Pellistri should have a lot of fun with these, he must be over the moon to be getting a full 90 instead of the usual cameo. Get a couple goals in, 5 subs at the half.

Well... if we finish 5th behind Spurs or Newcastle, that's... disappointing. Those two have inferior squads.
I think we’ll easily get 4th, and hopefully 3rd but i think we’re a big injury away from the wheels coming off.

What happened to Elanga? He can’t seem to get a game these days
He's been 'earmarked' to go on loan next season. Starting the beginning of the end of his time here, probably. In an ideal world we'd cash in now for like 20-25m or something but we'll let him totally deplete in value before he's finally gone.

His value is likely half that already given he's not scored in over a year?

Nobody is paying anywhere near that for Elanga.

We have two other keepers and he doesn't play them in a dead rubber game like this, if I was any of them I would be pissed
when you play in Spain it's not a picnic.

Maybe because of Utd tax -- but Everton managed to get £45m for Anthony Gordon. Very similar sort of stats

0-0 at half time would do, better if 1 up. Casimero off then Bruno off . Sabitzer on Mctom on. Rashford off around 60 Min mark or before. Then just see this tie off . Just don't concede an early goal to give them any impotence.
Agree, becoming impotent would do them in.

Yeah, I was working under the assumption that none of the teams get any major injuries from now on. In that case, finishing behind either (let alone both of them) Newcastle or Spurs would be disappointing.

He was looking good for a few games after he came back.
He's been so poor, we were all hoping he'd kick on after having a holiday/pre season in the middle of the season but he's reverted back to being so toothless it's unreal. I'm seriously worried for his career if something doesn't give soon.

Absurd talking about the yellow card risk, are they going to talk about it in Qf 1, Qf 2 and semi also?

I will never forgive Martial for making me have to watch Wout every week. One attacker is not enough in the summer unless Voldemort returns.
Sancho has had enough chances. Pellistri deserves his shot. He's mostly been good in his cameos.

If Martial could stay fit, we wouldn't have to see Wout every game. There is no other choice but play him.

I want Martial sold in the summer, he's become a liability with his inability (reluctance?) To stay fit. At most, I want him 3rd choice and we bring in 2 new strikers

Is there really no one in the youth set up who could do better than WW especially in these sorts of games?

Re Voldemort, have a feeling WW being below ability and Martial always being injured may lead to a reprieve for him, as unless we have new owners no way are we buying 2 new strikers (Which we need)

I did not think Rashford would start but the rest of the team was fairly predictable

took a bit of juggling but, yay, home in time for kick off. nice to see pellestri get a start but not so sure about AWB and Maguire... have to think Garnacho would have started here if not for the injury

Nice to see a few changes, especially a couple of the players who are prone to knocks if they get played too much. Very interested to see how Pellestri gets on in his first start. He's had a few decent cameos so he's deserved it.

Selfishly hate this kick off time as I work until at least 6:30 so that rules out the first half at least.

BT Sport should just bring a parrot into the studio rather than Owen Hargreaves. Every view he has starts “Like Scholesy said…” :nervous:

Sabitzer can't buy a start at the moment. Don't think that'll be a permanent one.

So, as the great REM song goes, I'm trying to find the river....

We need to be careful here... they have filled that (fantastic football) stadium, and have not a thing to lose. They can just go enjoy themselves and that's always something to be wary of....
