If wages weren't a concern, and it was a free transfer, Northampton still wouldn't sign Rooney.

You could see the glimmer of hope in Rooney's face then when he thought he could still keep that ball in, but it quickly turns to despair when he remembers he's slow and shit.

I don't really agree tbh, I mean just look at Rooney and Ronaldo.

Both Rashford's age when they started here, and ended up playing almost constantly for 5 straight years, 10 in Rooney's case.

There's a strong possibility that some of Rooney's current problems are a result of us playing him through injuries and especially England bringing him to tournaments when he's clearly not fit. I wouldn't want us to rely as Rashford as much tbh.

Can't believe i am still scared of Northampton getting something from the game. We need the 4th one to be safe.

    Another record? :)
    Another goal in a debut?
Yes. We got eliminated last year in October, while Rashford debuted for us in this February.

Rashford does love a debut. Goal(s) in debuts for United (x2), for United in Europa League (x2), for United in the league (x2), for United in Carling Cup, for England, for England U21 (x3).

The only competition he didn't score in debut is on FA Cup. Hopefully next year he'll score in his UCL debut.

Let's hope we get a shit team in the draw for the next round.

He will be some player. No 2nd season syndrome for him till now.

Every attack gets breaked up once Rooney just looks at the ball, and defensively he gets outsmarted by every Northampton player. He is so useless and shit

Ibra didn't want to be there. Clearly he doesn't look interested at all. No point in throwing players into games what mean very little to them.

I'd love to see another 'highlights' reel from Rooney, sounds like he's been comically awful this game.

Has he been better or worse (if that's even possible) than the Watford game?
