Haha...1..if he didn't get there it was a free header
    2. He did well running backward to get his head to it as it want free header
    3. Stop being a cnut
His body position wasn't even in a position to put any purchase on a header, I doubt that's a goal if fellaini wasn't there.

Blind and Smalling got done for their goal..

Schneiderlins hard work may have gone unnoticed by many but he plugs holes and spaces and didnt let Newcastle get going from kick off...

Fellaini needs to learn how to foul without looking guilty each time...

Front three looking dangerous on every attack next to Newcastles leaky defence.

Enjoyable so far but we need to keep the ball more in the second half to kill the crowd and game.

    1. I didnt say that he didn't do well to get back
    2. He should have done better to get the back away not head it back into the box
    3. Stop being a Knob and defending him, he's shite

The Newcastle player would have done well to get the same header Fellaini got.

Oh dear..if he didn't try to head it you would have slated him. He can't win.

Oh I'm more than capable. Fellaini is lucky to be on the field after that shirt pull, just before Newcastle penalty claim. Losing possession on several occasions with bad passes, terrible positioning most of the time, bypassed easily not mobile enough.

Yes Schneiderlin was wank this half as well, but Fellaini is a walking liability.
It's been an end to end match with a fairly high pace, I'm not sure if you noticed but pretty much all the players haven't exactly been tidy in possession.
Terrible positioning most of the time? What about when he repeatedly won the ball and started counter attacks? Actually watch him and you'll see he's not half as bad as he's made out on here.

I don't understand why people are saying it wasn't a penalty.

It was exactly the same as the penalty Spurs got the other day against Leicester. In both situations the defender didn't necessary mean to hit the ball with their arm (in fact that is debatable in this one). However in both they deliberately threw their arm out away from their body to try to block off an attacker, and the ball then hit that arm. If you deliberately throw your arm out for no reason in a way that then blocks off the ball, it's absolutely a penalty. Would be stunned if it wasn't given, whether for us, against us or (like the Spurs one) in a match that I'm a neutral.

I dont think we are playing well, not in the intentional sense anyway.

Like I said earlier, we cant keep the ball today, which means Newcastle have more of the ball and move up to our half more. This means we have a lot more space to attack than we would normally have if it was us that was dictating the game.

The inability to keep the ball is a natural consequence of choosing Fellaini and Schneiderlin as our double pivot. Neither is anything close to Paul Scholes. We would need a real passer in that double pivot e.g. Carrick, to keep things ticking over. Still, on the break we've been better than we have been for months.

Robbie Savage still willfully blind. Well done you bitter, twisted, barely-functioning gimp.

Is Carrick injured? Don't see another CM on the bench. Would like to see Memphis on for Fellaini and drop Herrera into CM.

Remember that Herrera is also booked from tackling Wijnladum and is as prone to be sent off as Fellaini

I just watched Big-foot endorse wifi on some american channel

Forgot what an absolute tit Robbie Savage is.

I despise Hoddle for some of his past views as well, so it's a horrific double act.

Clearly a penalty, when you look at their player reaching into the sky with his hand. Get your f'cking hand down you idiot. And what is Hoddle on about, "you need you arms up to jump", who bloody jumps like that?

Not convinced on the Newcastle pen shout, just one of those coming togethers you see loads of.

Fellaini needs to get off the pitch though, not sure what options there are though. Herrera moved back and Mata on the only obvious one.

    Rooney's been much improved today.

Hence he's not fit for this game. At that pace he's vulnerable at fouling people. I'm wathcing him and if he stays for 90 minutes on the pitch I'll be amazed.

And lack of Mata. So glad he's been dropped.
I agree Mata hasn't been that good the past game or two, but this one right here is his kind of game, he is the type of player who can easily pick-up teammates running into space, I would give him 20 minutes for Rooney, and move Martial up top.

I truly hope Robbie Savage falls off the gantry.

Can you imagine Robbie Savage with his own talk show? I'd imagine the strength of the collective face-palming would make the planet cave in on itself.

He genuinely did. It's like claiming "it's not murder your honour... he only accidentally knocked the deceased off the building while reaching for his gun".

There was no intent, he just wanted to clean his illegally owned gun.
