Either way Newcastle look crap apart from their pace and we should throw the kitchen sink at them.
Hes doing the exact same thing rooney was doing to rvp under moyes.
The second united attacks he rushes to the penalty box nearly hugging the striker leaving no person in the 10 position.
Its so easily to defend as all defenders/midfielders get drawn together and dont have to spread out to defend, which causes space which can easily be exploited.
Mata would cause havoc here, forcing a defender to him leaving rooney, dm, young all 1v1New U has been awful today.

As have I. I'm actually really suprised at the amount of negative comments about the overall performance. Obviously the lack of clinical finishing has been disappointing but this has been by far our best away performance of the season.
It's actually refreshing to see us play with tons of width for once, and a bit of initiative in the middle of the park.
If Angel Di Maria wasn't so useless, we would be 2 or 3 up.

Newcastle are there for the taking but we're huffing and puffing. Need to step up the intensity, play with more pace and stop faffing about.We can afford to switch from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 now. NUFC aren't exactly threatening. Januzaj or Mata on asap, please.Not a bad half all things considered, we've dominated possession as you would expect and created some good chances. They should have a stonewall pen and the defence looked all over the place for that break at the end of the half though.
Di Maria trying too much again, should have hit that chance first time but he's not confident. No doubt that won't be the end of the Evans/Cisse incident.The annoying thing is that these look totally there for the taking and we still haven't been able to capitalise. Herrera and Blind have both been good which is the main positive. Blind was intercepting everything in that half.Seriously Fellaini has been our best player along with Blind IMO yet some want him off.
I'm all up for Mata as you'll know from his own thread but if he is coming on, I'm sorry to say on performance it should be Di Maria off
