His passing is ok. And he’s not helped by having Valencia, agreed. But he should really be playing in midfield if he’s playing. Not as a forward. We look less potent with him as part of the forward line. It’s no coincidence that Huddersfield was also a less convincing performance going forwards. The Mata effect. Even if he individually contributed to a goal, his overall deleterious impact on our forward fluidity is hard to ignore.
Valencia isn't smart/pacey enough to take advantage and bomb forward. How on earth have we ended up with such ineffective fllbacks? I'd be willing to try TFM for the second half of the season in RB over Valencia. Young as the main one.We’ve run out of ideas. Need half time.
