Say what you want about AWB but he's categorically a better defender than Dalot. Dalot was poor on loan last season at Milan. He was loaned with a view to possibly join them permanently but they didn't trigger that option because he was poor

. He started out steady, and there was hope from me that he'd iron out his defensive deficiencies in Italy but he remained positionally suspect throughout the season. It went downhill for him after disastrous displays against Lille and a loss against lowly Spezia.

He has every chance to make it under Rangnick of he works on these issues but I remain unconvinced that he'll be anything more than a backup option here at best.
