Fred had a really awful game against Newcastle and Matic played fairly well against Burnley. I think it's also clear Matic staying deep allows McTominay to get forward and attack more, so it makes sense to continue with the same pair.

Didn't the oilly bloke play centrally last time?This truly is the season legends returnFair play to Jones for getting back fit to start. I didn't think we'd ever see it again. I hope he's truly ready and can give a good performance but it's certainly not an ideal situation in defence today. Still the bigger call in my opinion is Fernandes being left out as that is not an enforced change unlike Jones. I hope this can be the spark he needs to get back in form. Tough game coming up, will be a tight one.
