It's as clear as day that Sanchez in the left wing position is not going to work. We would be better served playing him as a 10 behind lukaku.

Absolutely. He wants to create chances and has the best bet of doing it from there.

    Agreed.

Neither of them enjoy playing as wingers and it shows in their game.
the problem is that sanchez is undroppable and plays in a position at least three players are better, RW is Lingard's worst position so while Lingard could contribute better from there, he would be ciriticesd playing out of position, the same goes for Martial and Rashford. We should be just subbing him off or benching him if he's not playing well.

Eventually we might end up having another Rooney situation here and regret swapping mkhitaryan - a player that could easily be sold, benched and didn't have a massive contract either. Wonder how things would go if Sanchez didn't come. because till that time Rashford and Martial were doing pretty well or definitely better than Sanchez now who should for me be playing as a second striker or hell even a striker ,Aguero type, seeing Lukaku being late to everything and Lukaku could rotate to RW

Problem is, for the supposedly super star that's not enough. He's not rising up to the expectation so far. Kind of performance you'll expect from someone like Rashford or Lingard, not a proven top player.
Yeah he hasn't been amazing but he hasn't been bad. Average game, some good things, some not so good. The hyperbole rules though.

I am not watching the same game i guess. For me, Alexis was good. Far better than other two attackers

Martial wasnt doing worse when Sanchez was still at Arsenal. However you cant really blame José for wanting to buy a player of Sanchez his quality while also weakening Arsenal and preventing City from getting him. Too bad it hasnt really worked out so far

Our midfielders look more of a goal threat than our wingers. Not sure what they are bringing to the team atm.

The front three have been horrid. All of them. If Sanchez doesn't produce in this game he should be benched.

Shaw has been terrible. Every attack they've had is going through him and he's been sloppy on the ball.

Fred and Pogba the outstanding performers and Smalling looking better with every game. We're fortunate to be ahead.

Sanchez and Lingard are drifting inside too much and creating congestion. Lukaku has no space to work with.

Problem isn't the space to work with, the problem is that every single time the ball is hit towards Lukaku he's on his back heels and reacts far too slowly to it. The Wolves defenders have constantly snuffed it out when it's passed towards him

Think our front 3 have been shocking and completely useless. By contrast, our midfield 3 have all been good to very good (Fred especially). Shaw having probably his worst game of the season for us, nothing really coming off. Valencia meh. Center backs decent enough. De Gea quality.

We haven't been dreadful at all.
3 shots in 45 mins. Yeah I think smalling has been great but the wrong player we want to be seeing being the best on the pitch. End product is an issue.

Good to be 1-0 up. Fred deserved that after a good first half.

DeGea has been on his game today, as has Smalling.

We could do with the fullbacks getting forward more, there’s space in behind the wingbacks we aren’t using.

I’d love to see more shots from distance second half. We seem to want to walk it into the net, even after seeing Fred score from something like 20 yards.

Is there a SAF speech? Can't see it on my stream.

I don't have regrets over us moving for him. It just feels underwhelming to not be working.

Pep signed Mahrez for 60m and dropped him now with performance being shite. I think it'll be before Jan when we do the same with Sanchez if he keeps up with this.

Sanchez talent is worth persisting with him as potential rewards are enormous... can’t give up on a world class player that easily... he still works his socks off even when it’s not falling for him. I believe it’s the same reason JM is playing him.

That is problem with this lineup. We are playing with two false wingers and when you don't have Alves or Mendy type of full backs, you have a problem

What does today have to do with any other game this season?
he gets a lot of praise but it's been tough early 30minutes for him, not that he made a major mistake but I'd expect a bit more in terms of his touch and overall attacking play

Sanchez was GOOD, whatever what some of you are suggesting

Shots don't define if a team has been dreadful. We've played well with some issues delivering a final ball.
