Given Casemiro is at the FIFA awards right now, I don’t think he will play on Wednesday.

Not sure if there will be that many changes in defence. More like Malacia-Martinez-Maguire-Dalot I'd say + a midfield with Casemiro in it. Then ideally if we're winning we can rest Casemiro and Martinez after 60 minutes or so.
Anyone on risk of suspension if they get a yellow?

If we could only rest a few players
We can. We must. Rashford and Bruno better not start this damn game. And the defence can easily be rotated. Sabitzer in for Fred.

And it's about time for Martial's monthly 20 minute cameo in between hospital visits.

I’m guessing Casemiro is being rested if he’s in Paris tonight?

Keeping him fresh for Liverpool

Sabitzer and Fred should be more than enough. I know Rice is a very good player but i think our squad depth is enough to take on West Ham and rest a few.

Fred could do with a break too. Would not be surprised if it’s McTominay & Sabitzer

Head says that we’ve just won a domestic cup so this should be bottom of the priority list under the league and Europa cup. We should ideally rest full starting eleven and be ready for our trip to Anfield.

Heart says yesterday was so much fun and I love the FA cup snd can’t stand West Ham so let’s smash these!

Regardless ETH has shown he values the cups and doesn’t rotate much so I expect most of our strongest lineup to play.

With McTominay now fit, think he plays as the holding player when Casemiro is not playing - while he is not great at it is more suited to it than either Sabitzer and Fred and it will allow for whomever partners with him to be play their more suited role in ETH current system. We saw when Fred/Sabitzer were deployed, we did okay but, it was dysfunctional.

With the amount of work Fred's put in the last week and probably will start against Liverpool, think it will be McTominay and Sabitzer to start.

Hopefully Moyes rotates and keeps his best players fit for their relegation scrap in the league

If you could get 60mins out of martial instead of WW that'd be the way to go imo.

I'm going to this game and it's my first trip to OT.

Do people have any tips on making the most of the experience?

Which pubs are best before or after?

Have to rest Bruno surely. We go again.

I‘m fairly confident Varane is getting a rest with his somewhat fragile fitness. We really could do with Martial turning up now so Rashford and Weghorst can get a breather.

I suppose one plus for this match and any potential need for rotation is Liverpool are playing Wolves on the same night (a game they desperately need to win for any CL prospects) and they won’t have an advantage in the rest and fatigue sense.

Most likely at least one of them will start if not both

Yeah being in France all the way from England 48h before the match is not ideal. Even if he somehow makes it back in time for kick off I don’t see how he’ll overcome the jet lag and fatigue.

Somehow i feel bruno will play.

Would be happy enough with that.. we need a proper backup for Bruno in the summer though. Would love to give Hansen-Aarøen a run out there but ETH seems to rate Mainoo higher in that position at the moment.

Not saying jet lag but they flew straight home after the final yesterday to prepare themselves for the West Ham game and did the same after the game away to Barca.
I can’t see how that’s so important, if that’s optimal only to have Casemiro jet off to Paris and back within a three day window between two games.

Casemiro most likely did the recovery session yesterday with the rest of the lads who played on Sunday and then flew to Paris. It is of course a possibility that he doesn’t start tomorrow but not because he was at the awards.

    Antony - Sancho - Garnacho

That team should be good enough to beat a struggling West Ham at home.

Casemiro, Bruno, Rashford on the bench if needed.
Not a chance there will be that many changes. This manager is a winner. He wants to go for everything.

I reckon there will be 4 changes at most from Sunday. Varane definitely won't start.

i expect to see a couple rested but not wholesale changes.
Premiership opposition even on poor form or other wise still need to be respected.
Id rest varane and possibly Rashford the rest can play.
Anthony Casamiro Sancho Martinez all had big rests since xmas.
Bruno maybe needs a rest but the guys a machine.

Judging by the training pictures it could definitely be a heavily-rotated team/squad tomorrow. At least Bruno, Antony & WW in trainers today instead of football boots.

So Fabiański is out with a fractured cheekbone he suffered against Forest, Coufal out with a heel injury and Ings is cup-tied. Scamacca was out for three games with a knee injury but he was an unused sub for the Spurs & Forest games. I kind of hope (and think) that Antonio starts, Scamacca in my opinion has more to his game.

This is the first time in ages I feel like we could field a second string and win.

Winning the Carabao Cup helps a lot in terms of boosting everyone’s belief (especially Maguire who has been shaky for a couple of seasons) but also Ten Hag’s rotation has been great this season and it feels like we have a squad with enough minutes and playing time together to gel.

    We could easily

    De Gea/Heaton

    Malacia / Lindelof / Maguire / Dalot

    McTom / Sancho / Sabitzer

    Garnacho / Weghorst / Pellistri

I suspect we’ll actually include a few more of the first team, but it’s satisfying that something like the above line up is actually quite decent.

What? It's not a much further flight than if we were playing in London! Possibly about half a hour.

Pretty much this, although I would like to see Garnacho start. Bruno and Rashford, a few others shouldn't be anywhere near this game. We have a massive game at the weekend.

Time for others to step up, and take leadership on the pitch, show the manager, coaching staff and team mates that they can carry this even without them. The likes of Maguire, Antony, Sancho, McTominay... show some b******s and get us through this tie. Embrace and enjoy the atmosphere, the intimidation, (.. it'll be a great cup tie atmosphere), and get a result.

I don't think he'd throw Tony in for 60 minutes given the long layoff but he could maybe get 30-40 minutes if he's in full training by now. Last I knew he was training solo.

Just read this. So it will be Areola in between the sticks. I think Coufal was already behind Emerson for that RB spot but considering they are in relegation slog, Moyes would have liked to rotate his squad to keep them fresh for their Brighton game and then the Conference League which looks like a good chance for them to get trophy.
Antonio might bully Lindelof and Maguire if both or one of them starts.
