If we fail to win here I’ll be pretty worried about our progress. We’re looking pretty this season in some games but if we drop points in two home games on the bounce against Newcastle and West Ham it’s a bad sign of that we’re really changing.

    De Gea
    Dalot--Lindelof--Martinez--Shaw
    Casemiro--Eriksen
    Antony--Bruno--Sancho
    Rashford

Only tough choices for me is whether to start Sancho and/or Fred

It’s a shame we’re playing them after they had a decent win last weekend. Otherwise they could have been going into this game with the pressure of potentially being bottom of the league.

I’ve got a pessimistic feeling this is going to be another draw where we struggle to break them down.
I'd say it's actually better for us that they won last weekend. Imo WH is a very decent team and they'd fight tooth and nail against us had they lost last match and is in danger now.

Btw any news on Martial guys, again?

It's like someone has wound the clock back a decade. Can't wait for the next United game!

Feels great going into a game with some belief again.

ETH said he's back on the training pitch but it feels like we'd be lucky to see him on the bench for this one. Probably more likely he returns next week is the vibe I'm getting.

Don't know why but I always worry about playing West Ham.

I got the impression that he was getting his therapy elsewhere ie not at Carrington. Hopefully not from the same witch doctor that Pogba goes to.
So that's why ETH was unclear with the timeline.

Didn't ten hag say he wasn't sure if he'd play before the world Cup?

Ericksen (looks leggy), Fred, Garnacho, Ronaldo, Maguire to come on.

Think I’d prefer Antony up front when Martial is injured.

With Casemiro playing im not even worried if Maguire plays. Dont believe I just wrote that!

whenever i watch west ham, rice seems such a key player for them in terms of setting up attacks and their overall tempo, id be tempted to go with fred instead of erikson/bruno for the first half at least and have him sit on rice. would neuter them completely.

This is the kind of game we’ve historically dropped points in recently. After a rival has slipped up.

What I was thinking! But I think this team is so confident and have a lot of players who can change games. We are going above Chelsea tomorrow!

In a match where we will have more possession of the ball, Fred might not offer much. I think it will be casa and Eriksen.

It's going to be a very tough game. I have gone 2-1 to us. We have a bit of momentum at the moment and that will hopefully carry u over the line.

West ham are the very definition of bang average. We should win this and I think we will

Theyre top 4 for xG conceded. Defensively they’re better than our 3 last “tough” opponents - but yeah attackingwise they’re not great

We should win but they're definitely not bang average. They had a slow start but have been performing like one of the best of the rest, with Brighton and Newcastle.

Actually since the start of September, the only games they lost they were unlucky and had more or even xG in them. Literally just a bad August.

Yeah they're a pretty quality team. In fact I don't think this season the PL has any team like Norwich few years ago. Anybody could beat anybody, maybe except City. Even City this year would sometime struggle massively against the middle table teams.

Tbh I'm a bit worried about this match. If I were Moyes I'd simply play Sacamacca against Martinez and Bowen against Lindelof. Then hoof long balls toward Sacamacca and wait for a counter. Imo we'd need to be very careful if we play with a high line as usual. And Casemiro might have to help Martinez to deal with the long balls.

Hope Maguire won't start or he'd be a disaster against Bowen. Too bad Varanne is injured. And we don't have much fire power to finish them off either. Would be a very tough match I think.

Set pieces will be a problem with Lindelof coming in. Not much height in the team.

    Isn’t Bowen injured?
