Greenwood and Elanga need to offer a lot more support to Ronaldo.

At least we’ve looked a lot more solid through midfield and defence. There’s still no real cohesiveness upfront though.

Greenwood, Ronaldo, and Elanga haven't really offered too much today. That is the issue.

That was a forgettable first half. If this is what we’re supposed to expect from Manchester United from here on out we’re in serious trouble.

Good defending from McTom near the end. Few months ago we'd be jogging back and allowing West Ham to make a good shot on goal and probably score. He did give the ball away though.

Mctominay has been very good today. More numbers in midfield is better for him and Fred.

Greenwood is also our only active forward. I want to see Martil/Cavani for Ronaldo and Rashford for Elanga.

just tuning in, how have we been so far?

Much better than recently but our midfield duo of McSauce and Fred are just not up to snuff. Best I have seen us for quite a while in various areas. Still low on quality and in the final third. Should be ahead if Greenwood wasn't such a hungry hungry hippo.

Much better than some of the dross we've been served up the lately. At times been able to get the ball back rather quickly after losing possession. Need to bring it up a notch offensively.

Midfield has been fine so far.

Our forwards seem to take one touch too many before drilling a shot, giving time to the defender to block them..

Annoying game. Feels like someone will steal it with a mistake and a goal. We will tire in the second half so risky.

We're starting to see the results of what Rangnick's doing on the training pitch. We counter pressed well in the first half and controlled the areas of the pitch the game was played in. However, we need to make more chances and take more shots. Just gotta smarten up our decision making and get that bit more from the forward line.

A true DM who is technically solid, reads the game well and would provide a solid base for the rest of the team to play round.

    Not spectacular but very capable.
I firmly firmly believe a team full of players, who are capable of doing basic commands and following guidance from the manager, is better than a team of spectacular players who lack in some areas.

The defence has been superb so far, Maguire and Varane look very assured. We've also defended well from the front as a team. That is the positives.

However, the attackers, on the ball, have absolutely stank the place out. Bruno, wasteful, Greenwood wasteful and Ronaldo.....wow.

Again, I know this is unpopular but if Ronaldo was ANYBODY else, we'd be calling these performances what they are....woeful

I think we've been the better team, we just have serious issues creating chances, simply not good enough.

Happy enough with that first half, but if we fall behind we're in trouble.

What a boring game of football, has any keeper even made a save yet?

Basically a tale of two teams giving the ball away.

Terrible passing in the final third, just so frustrating that this team is utterly incapable of demonstrating competent passing for 90 min! How are chances going to be created if there is zero understanding with your teammates?

Attacking 4 dogshit in attack yet again but as ever the focus is on the midfield 2.

Solid control of the game. Just need to be better in the final third. Ronaldo having a bit of a stinker.

In what way? What has he done that has been bad? He hasn't had any chances but has come deep and linked up and held the ball up well. What is stinker about that?

I thought we looked more organized than previous weeks but we're still lacking that bite up front. Hope to see some tactical improvements in that area.
