I think you analyzed the first situation wrongly, as well as the 2nd.
First situation was not too late and the 2nd was just a bad decision to shoot IMO. But none of the situations were too late as a better shot could have gone in.

Hes been shocking this seasonIf you don't take your chances, you eventually pay the price. It's possible to take comfort in the fact that we create chances, but only for so long. Failing to convert those chances has become a chronic issue - one which goes well beyond this season for many of the players. Sure, we may have the odd game where the chances are taken, but overall, at this point I'm starting to believe that it's foolish to think things will change.
