River?
Me tooDone
Absolutely, let's hope we see it again today, that back line isn't the most mobile either. The way we were interchanging against Feynoord suggests that He won't always be on the wing
Rashford is such a one trick pony. Literally receives it, and just takes a huge touch to try and blaze past the fullback. The amount of times he just runs out of play a game must be 4 or 5. Sick of him. People get caught up in the romance of it, but he really shouldn't be near the starting XI. At least Lingard offers good movement and reasonable link-up. Rashford is all pace and nothing else.
Nothing personal against Rashford but that's the way things are. I'm a big fan of Martial personally but it's pretty obvious he needs to be out of the team for a bit to see his reaction and how he returns. He's simply been poor and lost his place. Are you still on this? Come on man, give it up and get behind the lads
Mata captain
Not a bad lineup. I don't like Rashford on the wing though. I hope Bastian gets some minutes.
Rooney is truly done. I actually thought he'd start this after his display on Thursday. The Mkhitaryan fan boys and Lingard critics must be furious right now
Just realised, is this not on UK TV (SKY or BT Sport?)
EDIT: Wrong thread … see what happens
It's rumoured Carrick has a slight injury.Carrick should be playing. Rashford needs some time out.
Great to seeMata captain
Not a fanboy or anything, but on the back of Thursdays good performance, i had hoped to see Miki in the starting XI.
Seeing Lingaard there does not bother me at all, hes been pretty good. The thing that confuses me is how Rashford keeps getting started depite being in pretty poor form.
That p*ssy. Clearly not one that wants to be here at any cost and suffer a little pain. It's rumoured Carrick has a slight injury.
If you don't mind sending me a river
Im glad Rashford is starting. Its not like Martial has been better, and if Mourinho really thinks Mkhitaryan is not ready for this game then who else does he go with? Young?
eeer! Who's this Sebastian Schweinsteiger chap on our bench
Me too but the silver lining is no Fellaini which I thought he would go for!Surprised that Rooney isn't starting. Thought he was very good on Thursday.
It surprises me as well. I would keep playing him while he is in any sort of form.Surprised that Rooney isn't starting. Thought he was very good on Thursday.
Wish I could share your optimism but very rarely is it working out in our favour these days. This will be a difficult game.Jose knows what he's doing. West Ham attacks are wing-oriented and have a 3-man backline if caught on the counter.
We needed wingers with energy for this match and Rashford, Lingard are best-suited. It is also probably why Young is on the bench ahead of Martial or Memphis.
This is going to be good..

Good point, and it's not like we've been blessed with real guns on the bench of late, might be smart to have some form players to come in and rattle the cage if we're struggling
footballers … we need footballers!I actually don't mind Fellaini in a game like this, especially since he's done well against West Ham in the past. But speed we do need.
