I actually agree with you, if we can get £200m and reinvest wisely I'd be in favour of him leaving too! In the three years he's been year I'd say 6 months were close to world class, I was expecting him to be better than De Bruyne.

Your concern is valid but your point is let down by poor examples.There's no need to play a counter attacking system when by the time we arrive at their box they've still got 4 + 1, 2, or even 3 in front. It's not even working in the counter attacking sense besides the goal.
I'd much rather see us yards up the pitch passing it around with ball retention than this invite pressure game whereby we have no outball besides 'here...have possession back'.
Yup, the amount of touches he needs before actually setting himself up for a pass is almost Smalling-like, so if we're going to have a go at Smalling for not being a ball-playing defender then Matic needs to be judged similarly, and perhaps even worse since he's a holding midfielder.- Status
