Watford Football Club (nicknamed The Hornets, The Golden Boys, Yellow Army, and The 'Orns), are a professional football club based in Watford, Hertfordshire. Watford Rovers was formed in 1881 by Henry Groverand, who went on to play for the club as a fullback. Rovers, originally composed entirely of amateur players, held home games at several locations in the town of Watford. The team first competed in the FA Cup in the 1886-87 season, and in 1889 Watford won the County Cup for the first time. Renamed as West Hertfordshire in 1893, Rovers joined the Southern Football League in 1896, and started to pay professional footballers in 1897. West Hertfordshire merged with local rivals Watford St. Mary's in 1898; the merged team was named Watford Football Club.

After spending almost half century in the lower divisions of The Football League, Watford enjoyed its greatest era of success following Graham Taylor's appointment in 1977, rising from the Fourth Division to the First Division. The team also finished second in the First Division in the 1982/83 season, competed in the UEFA Cup in 1983/ 1984, and reached the 1984 FA Cup Final where they faced Howard Kendall's Everton. Watford's most prominent rivalry is with fellow South-Eastern English club Luton Town, and they have been playing their home games at Vicarage Road since 1922.

I'd ease people in. Don't need any injuries flaring back up. Was a mistake to start all the players who are fresh back from injury tonight

Good time for the international break. Reset their heads, come back and have a good run to go for the top 4 and CL if possible. Hopefully nobody picks up injuries over the break, hopefully everyone can rest up a bit.
    De Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Matic
    Herrera Pogba
    Lukaku Rashford Martial
    Something like this.

I don't want to see the same starting line-up and I don't want to see the pointless lopsided 4-3-3, get back to the diamond.

Can’t come soon enough. 4-3-3 again please. Best players in best positions.

Rest Rashford, he needs it bad, both physically and mentally.

I'd ditch the 4-3-3 for 3-5-2 we used in paris after baillys subsitution. we are too predictable and not creating enough chance.

    Young Smalling Lindelof
    Dalot McTominay Fred Shaw
    Pogba
    Lukaku Martial

I don't like the back 3 with Young in it, if we had another decent CB then maybe this could work, but I also feel Lindelof gets a bit lost off positionally in that formation.

Definitely want to see Lukaku fit. I know lots o you don't like his "silky touches" but he has ben scoring goals and we can't afford to drop many more points (given that we might well do so against City)

Rest Rashford, he needs it bad, both physically and mentally.

Unless he really needs a rest physically, I think this is a bad trap to fall into. Better to keep him playing, though would be good to have Lukaku back alongside him for the next game if possible (doesn't look likely).

Please no more injuries over the break, come back strong with a statement performance and result.

    Who are our international players?

Lukaku, Martial, Pogba, De Gea, Rashford? I see Lindelof and Shaw aren't going.

Hopefully the international break will allow injuries to mend.

Need some players back and get back on track.

    Martial also withdrawn.

Have to hope that Shaw and Martial's injuries aren't severe and it was more of a precaution, although it didn't sound good for Martial after the Wolves game. Probably why he wasn't very effective as I'm sure he was feeling it during the game as well.

I'm just hopeful that this break gives our players a chance to get their injuries behind them and manage some good training sessions. I do believe that bringing back too many from injury in the last couple of games stumped our momentum and the likes of Herrera, Matic, and Martial in particular just aren't up to speed yet. I can understand it being hard to leave them out of our most important away league fixture and a quarter final though. Sadly, those games probably just came a week too soon.

Is Rashford really fit?? Didn't feel like he was in the Wolves game. Two international games where Southgate would probably play him for full 90 mins will probably make him much worse.

Unthinkable as though it is, if we lose this and make it 3 defeats on the bounce, I think Pochettinos phone will ring

But United will roar back 4-1. Rashford with all 4

I do like this one. It's a very versatile setup and our personnel can work well within it. It is very easy to morph into several different shapes from that. I do think Rashford will be ready, though, in which case you swap him into Martial's slot.

Injuries will have to be carefully managed with Barcelona game not that far away.

I'll have just touched down for 3months in South America the day before this. Will have to dig out a bar in Brazil for it, if possible/being shown.

    Still unsure about the team/score...

A fecking home game at last. It'll feel like forever since we've donned the red when this comes round.

So far Sanchez, Rashford and now Lukaku pulls out of Belgium game with a foot injury. Martial not 100% fit.

Our forward line is going to look a bit strange against Watford

    Greenwood
    Fred Lingard Dalot
    Herrera Pogba
    Shaw Lindelof Smalling Young
    De Gea

Following Ole's press conference, in regrds to who's available, I would change my team to:

    Lukaku
    Rashford Mata Lingard
    Herrera Pogba
    Shaw Lindelof Smalling Young
    De Gea

We desperately need a win. If we lose this and Arse go 5 clear we probably wont catch them. Still got City and Chelsea to play, and points will be dropped. Im thinking 2-0 and Newcastle do us a favour with a draw.

The start of three must-win league games!!!

Watford: They will probably play with their best team but they have their minds hopefully already on their FA-Cup semi-final.
Wolverhampton: They will surely rest many of their best players for their FA-Cup semi-final.
West Ham United: At home we should really beat them.

Then Everton (A), Manchester derby (H) and Chelsea (H)

If we are on the 4th place after the Chelsea game then we will play surely CL football next season....Huddersfield and Cardiff would be our two last games.

I have no doubts our players will be fired up and ready to go. Should win comfortably. Time to again make Old Trafford a place they don't want to come.

Why did I have it in my head that we were playing wolves away this weekend

Think it'll be a tough game since they've just beaten us in the FA cup, they have a mental advantage upon us, so we need to beat the shit out of them since start, and we'll do it.

Feels like ages since that Wolves game now, hopefully the players have got it out of their system and we batter Watford

I'm probably being overly optimistic but I hope OGS can kick us back into gear after the last two downers....

    Man United 3 - 1 Watford
    Pogba, Lingard, Rashford.
