Do we reckon Erik is in trouble if United loose today?
I think if we lose today he will have to beat Villa, else he’s gone. We’re early in the season but these two upcoming games are surely clubs Ineos feel we should be competing/bettering this season. Probably best yardstick of progress is someone like spurs who were around our level last season and haven’t had loads of changes.

No idea what to expect today. Hoping we turn up and put in a performance we can be proud of and build from there, but I’d be lying if I said I was confident of a result.

I'm putting more faith in the classic "lads, it's Tottenham" mentality than in us right now...
These days, there isn't a single team we can say we're the clear favorites against.

I think we’ll give them a pasting, mad thought I know considering how much we’re struggling for goals but I’ve just got a feeling. That said I thought we’d beat Palace so maybe ignore all of that.

Exactly how much trouble ETH will be in is hard to say, but the question reminds me of a great line in the movie A Few Good Men.

When Colonel Jessup (Jack Nicholson) was on the witness stand Lieutentant Caffrey (Tom Cruise) asked whether Santiago was in danger, Jessup said yes. Cafferty asked “Grave danger?” Jessup replied’ “Is there another kind?”

We might put in a strong performance and then lose the next two. This team can’t be trusted at all, mainly because we don’t have a solid tactical foundation that we apply each week.

To my memory, we’ve had one period of solid results under ETH, which was in the middle of his first season when Rashford had his purple patch.

Christ, never thought we'd be here again already. fecking annoying when the fixtures haven't been that difficult.....we 100% need to win

Weird fixture, a home loss would be tough for the manager in staying you'd feel. A win wouldn't sway me in the slightest, I'd want to see 1-2 months of some progress and decent performances and improved eye for goals.

Very tricky time for the board to asses and sack him to possibly salvage the season or stick with him hoping we can find some rhythm. We do have a few new players to bed in like De Ligt, Ugarte, Zirkzee. Keeping Bruno fresh physically and mentally is important but will we do it?

Bench Bruno and we win this game comfortably. Will never happen but still bears saying.

INEOS really fecked up the biggest decision they’ve had to make so far, the manager. Had they done the right thing and parted ways with ETH at the end of last season on a high after the FA Cup win we could’ve went into this season on a positive note with a fresh start under a new manager. Instead we’re in danger of writing off another season depending on how long they persist with ETH and leave us in a position of trying to bring in a replacement mid way through the season.

You are right. Neither is going to happen. Bruno wont be benched and if he was, we wont win comfortably. Benching Bruno isnt going to improve the finishing of our players.

Nah, but we might maintain a bit more possession. Maybe. I dunno. I'm lost with watching this squad.

The bookies are actually favouring us today by more than I thought. Hope they’re right

Bar Liverpool game (at home, much easier than Anfield) we’ve had a very easy run of the first 5 games, yet we lost so many points.

Zero trust in ETH to get it right today and zero hope he stops being stubborn. I still wouldn’t be surprised if we win it despite all that, it’s spurs at home after all.

I would like a no-nonsense convincing win. Let everything just click and then go on a superb run after this. Something like the initial Ole run but sustainable and with solidity in our shape and play.

Id like Margot Robbie to respond to my Insta DMs

I wonder what they do for like 2 hours before they even go out for a warm up

I love the addition of De Ligt and Mazraoui. The pair have been a huge plus so far this season.

Shame the attackers can’t find the net.

They play 'I never.' It all gets a bit heated the fourth time everyone has to nail a can because Ten Hag says "score."

    Edit: wait that doesn't work

Based purely on their expressions and nothing else Zirkzee and Bruno are starting. Amad and Rasmus are on the bench. Antony is disinterested

The word is Ugarte for Eriksen, Rash and Nacho on the wings. Rest as expected.

This leak rarely wrong but don't shoot the messenger blah blah.
