Spurs will be the type of game where we struggle the most. They play really dirty under Conte.

I hope we try to match them physically and play Casemiro, McTominay and Eriksen in the middle.

    Dalot------------Varane------Martinez-------------Shaw
    -------------------------Casemiro------------------------
    ------------Scott-------------------------Eriksen-----
    Antony---------Martial(available?)---------Rashford
I imagine we will really struggle without a goalkeeper.

We have one of the best headers of a ball ever in Ronaldo yet we play our wingers on the wrong sides of the pitch? What is that about?
it’s easy to defend if you know the winger is going to cut inside on his stronger foot all day long.
Surely it’s worth a try to play Sancho on the right and Antony left? Even for 20 mins.

this makes 0 sense for multiple reasons.

firstly, sancho is much better on the left as is antony on the right (has he ever even played on the left?). 2nd, if you watched our last game you would have noticed that our wingers, especially Antony, created a lot of opportunities to get the ball into the box but the deliveries just weren’t good enough. It’s not as if we’re not managing to create chances. We’re also scoring in almost every game and that’s without having a properly fit striker in most games.

I don’t think we’ll beat Spurs, Kane is cooking atm and Son is due a good game. I think even if we play well we’re lacking in the goals department..

I don't see us winning. Draw would be ok if we managed to beat Newcastle. We didn't unfortunately..

No martial and Eriksen probably bench.
    So I'm guessing:
    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Fred
    Antony Bruno Sancho
    Rashford

FRED?! You won't see him start for a long time. Think Ronaldo will start and rashford on the wing.
Nah Ronaldo won't start. Ten Hag has been pretty clear that he doesn't like him on the pitch IMO. Especially in a big game.

Fred because it's him or McTominay, and I think McTominay is the Casemiro backup, not for other positions. He needs Fred's "qualities" more than Mctominays.

Need a win here. Can’t see us beating Chelsea on Saturday.

I think beating Chelsea is easier than Spurs actually. If you look past the results, Chelsea under Potter have been painfully average and, frankly, lucky to get a few results. Spurs are Spurs but any game against Conte/Kane/Son is always going to be tough.

My excitement for the season died with the queen. Ever since that break we look a different side.

Hopefully a win tomorrow night will boost the confidence and get us back on track. The break definitely didn’t help our momentum but I’m confident we’re on the right track.

I’d like to see a team something like this:

    DeGea

    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia

    Casemiro McTominay

    Eriksen

    Antony Rashford Sancho

Newcastle-Spurs-Chelsea...Nasty trio of games, all Top 6 opponents!

Drawing today puts adding pressure on the match against Spurs, but come the end of the season a point against each wouldn't be a total disaster (considering United have already beaten Liverpool and Arsenal)

Just need to keep the performance up, no mistakes or gifts and I think the attack will click (eventually)

Looking forward to a good Wednesday night match.
First 11 games. Played all of the top 8. We're due an easier run. Can we capitalise though? Bus parkers are our kryptonite

Did you watch Fred in our last two games?

Brentford is 9th as well. We'll see how the next 2 games shake out but we'll have played the top half of the league in our first 11 games. Only Southampton and Leicester are shite this season, yet even they are normally mid table to upper mid table (so have upset potential as they're well coached).

It's about system and profile required. Mctominay is a Casemiro backup. Fred is all we have to back up Eriksen. I'd be surprised if EtH uses McTominay at a box to box role.

ETH has to play anyone but Fred, whether be it the kids surely they can't be worst at controlling a football as Fred is?

That's not entirely true is it? Still unbeaten under him and maybe not making everyone take notice of them but they are quietly going about their business in a good way.

We will require an unexpectedly outstanding performance to beat this Spurs side. But if recent form is our guide, then a ream job will ensue.

Have you looked at the stats? And I’m far from a big stats guy but I’ve both watched them and looked at the numbers, they have not been great. They should have lost against Villa. You can argue its a new manager and the results are the most important thing and I would actually agree, but that also means that they aren’t particularly great ATM and we should be getting a positive result against them IMO.

Massively important game this. If we want to be involved in the top 4 conversation at the end of the season then we need to be winning these games. If we don't, we'll have to watch as the top teams disappear into the distance. The top 5 or 6 are so consistent right now we have to keep pace. I think we'll nick it 1-0.

ETH is also a form coach. If you're not performing you're out of the team. I think he will start McTominay with Casemiro if Eriksen isn't fit. I think Eriksen will start if at all possible.
