That's the best half of football we've played in a long, long time.Fantastic first half, by fare the best football we have played this season. Dumb and Dumber are still dodgy as feck at the back and can't pass water, but the rest have been good to very good, Carrick, Fellaini and Rooney the 3 stand outs.
This. So good.Just keep this up. No more, no less.Where did that come from? Not only did we score 3 goals, we also limited Spurs to no clear chances at all. Our passing has been mostly clean and crisp, bar Phil Jones who looked a major liability in the first 3 minutes, and also Smalling who has done so well to carry the ball forward but doesn't have the technique top pick out a final pass. Still, what a first half. Haven't been so happy watching us play for years.

Yeah I agree, I've expected something like this for a few weeks now. Despite the criticism, there have been signs that we're getting closer to the style of play working properly, and all of a sudden today we seem to have a bit of confidence. Sure as hell looks like the kind of football you'd expect LVG to want at least!

Let's have a great match now.Like a breath of fresh air. So many positives but the most important thing for me is we look like we're really enjoying our football out there. It's not overly negative and we're not trying to keep possession for the sake of it. We're playing with urgency and everything we do has a purpose. The shackles have come off and we finally look like a decent team again. We've nullified Spurs and not allowed them to get a foothold at all.

Then bang we seemed to click into gear and take the game by the scruff of the neck.We'll be doing well this weekend with this result and the results of our competitors.I looked at their lineup before the game and I thought, wow that's average. Last 2 seasonsI'd argue against this being the 'philosophy' working per se but LvG for me deserves a lot of praise for dropping the cautiousness and instilling an attacking mentality into the players.
He's been adaptable in his style during his career and hopefully this is his turning point as he sees the players can be trusted and that it works in the premMata-Herrera-Carrick we need to see these 3 together from now on.
Fellaini?Best half since van Persie got that hat trick vs. Villa in 2013.
Rooney leading the line very well and taking his goal, Young causing havoc with Blind on the left and the midfield (in particular Carrick and Fellaini) have been sensational. Smalling has kept Kane quiet and even come forward with the ball, same again in the second half and I'll be a very happy man.
If we play like this, no. No moans on here today in a very long time.
Yes, I want so see more, we deserve this. I'd say it's the best half this and the season under Moyes surely and maybe the end of SAF..

Jones...yeah Jones did something wrong I think.Amazing half. Everything just went our way. The formation looks normal and we are actually playing with width and confidence.
Fellaini looks like Iniesta out there. Young looks like the second coming of Ronaldo...and of course Wayne Rooney is looking like his old self.
Unbelievable what we can do when we play people in their preferred positions. Even Mata is shaking off the cobwebs. Herrera has been fantastic and his defensive work is so underrated.That was absolutely fecking brilliant. Great movement and we've shifted the ball very quickly.Great stuff from all. The biggest compliment is that there are no poor performers so far in the team.WE'RE GONNA WIN THE feckING LEAGUE LADS

Smalling has dominated Kane their danger manWhat a half. Every players step up at least three notches. Pace and running into space. Blind is really a clever player combining so well with Young. Really glad with Rooney's goal going through four players.Such an enjoyable half of football, hope they keep it up in the second half.
