    Yeah can't see Mhki on the right. Interesting that he got a start and Mata and Lingard didn't, even after the latter's brace and Mhki's poor form. Now we will find out if he was just tired.
     
    I don’t know why people are panicking! Bailey would of kept Kane quiet anyway! We should and will be going for the win! We have a fantastic record against spurs and with the team jose has put out I cant see it being anythinh other than a comfortable win. So much negativity and depression on these match day threads.

    He was asked something along the lines of how United would set up, knowing that Kane wouldn't play. He answered "Did you ask Pochettino how he would set up against a team without Pogba, Fellaini, Rojo, Carrick, etc.?"

    Defensive line up? SAF would have done the same. Go with defensive stability first.

    We don't have the most creative player in our team plus Spurs have a mean defence too
     
    Spurs not playing Llorente and putting extra man in middle, United matching spurs formation which they dint use. Both managers tried to second guess each other and i think Poch has surprised mourinho by the defensive team he has pulled.
    Spurs are here to play on the counter and Nick this no doubt about it, they are going to do what huddersfield did, albiet with beter quality.

    Yeah, but Spurs are not going to have the joy of facing Lindelof today.

    We lost to Huddersfield because of our own individual defensive errors. Today's back 3 combined with DDG behind them is a formidable defense for any opposition to breach.

    Can see Herrera and Matic getting rushed and flustered again with poor passing. We will need our wing backs to play well and Rashford.

    Not what the manager said. The overall performance was dreadful, the attitude even worse…
     
    Still think Mourinho got outplayed tactically by Pochettino before the game even starts. Let's see out it turns out in the field. But we should have gone 4-2-3-1 with Mata.

    On paper seems like a cracking game.But feel it may be a dull cagey 1-1
     
    I called our backline so Poch shouldn't be surprised.
    Also striking is the lack of criticism Poch is receiving for such a negative line-up
     
    that team is only a rojo and Pogba away from perfect.

    I too felt that we lost the game due to that defensive disaster that sent the team 2-0 down and doubled the task at hand. I thought that we would have easily won the game 2-1 or 3-1 had we equalized without conceding another. I am not saying we would have turned on the style. But I felt we would have scored more than once had the deficit been just down to one goal. When we went down by two goals, the team simply looked to rush things and ended up losing the ball during the build up, a lot of times.
