There isn't one good reason as to why Falcao is starting...not one, it's nothing but sheer stupidity to be honest.

He could score one today and it'd still be the wrong decision. He has no future here.

I expect this to end in a draw anyway, 1-1. Sunderland aren't that bad, they're just crap at putting the ball in the net but they've done well defensively this season.

Maybe Rafael done his ACL and the club is just covering it up? very likely LvG doesn't rate him, which is a shame.

Meh, he doesn't have much of a future here but for once he's playing as a lone striker (or the central focus) with wingers in the side, that'd what he thrives on, or used to. Today is probably ideally set up for him to make a statement, he's never been someone who had a striker partner like van Persie where he had to make runs out wide and things like that. That doesn't suit either of rvp or falcao, part of the reason both have been shite.
