I would like to see Januzaj also playing. Maybe he has the second season syndrome, but I miss what he gave us last year, the excitement, a young product from our Academy dribbling and beating opponents.

He has been far from exciting though. Probably the most frustrating player this season.

Think this will be a hard game. Can see us struggeling but hopefully we'll have enough to get three points.

Reckon we're in for a frustrating game where we expect another good performance but struggle, just hope we pull through.

Get an early goal and I'll feel comfortable. Concede first and it could be a tough evening.

Van Gaal's recently said how much he dislikes picking a different team every week so does seem likely he'll jump at the chance to field a settled team, even if the two games are closer together than he likes.

What's the craic with Stoke anyway? I heard they lost both Whelan and Sidwell at the weekend. Presume they're still unavailable tonight?

I swear the game time was listed 4 hours earlier when I checked the match day tab on Sunday and I woke up here in the US hoping the game would start already.

With Falcao coming back and Di Maria's return not too far. Might be some time before we see Januzaj in the starting line-up again.

I would go with almost the same line-up as against Hull, even though Stoke is a better opponet than Hull.
Stoke will be coming to Old Trafford with two defeats - against Liverpool (a) and Burnley (h) - and we will, at the same time, be playing for our fourth win on a row. Before last years defeat against Stoke you'll have to go back 30 years for their last win against us. I think it's fair to say we're big favourites.

As for our team, I would go with this line-up:

    De Gea
    Smalling - Rojo
    Valencia---- Carrick* ----Young
    Herrera - Fellaini
    Mata
    Falcao - Rooney
*Carrick will obviously be playing at CB, it's just that he's the offensive one.
I think Mata is the biggest questionmark. I can understand if van Gaal is gonna play with van Persie instead because of his strenght and physique, but I really hope we're gonna play after our strenght and not going to adapt after Stoke.

I think our form and play will continue and I'm going for a 4-0 win!

I heard Facao and Januzaj are starting.

    Greetings from Manchester!:)

Seen nando's in the centre,is that the one where Adnan goes?:)

Was hoping Falcao could get a start

Pretty sure he will get a 25-30 min run in later on. There are plenty of games coming on thick and fast. No need to rush him and risk another injury. Better to ease him unto the first team.

Anyway, curious to see how RVP performs this time around. His goal should have given him a boost and released some pressure.

Expecting a more consistent and a more impactful performance from him today.

And which grape vine did you hear this on? Spill your sources ;)

we were thinking the same thing about him when he thumped home against the chavs. never really kicked on. however i think with the inclusion of carrick in midfield and herrera he may get the kind of service he has been lacking. Gary Neville made an excellent point that nobody is seeing his runs and picking him out.. that can be frustrating for a striker. carrick will see them and i think that may be the difference and seeing him getting back to proper form.

with falcao im just a big fan of his. cant wait to see him get a proper run out and back to being fully fit.

    Resting...

Resting for what? Our next game is in the weekend, there are no internationals for a while and we have no European football. We simply must go on a winning streak which means resting players is counter-intuitive at this point.

So this will be the first time we will play the same defence twice..or have I just jinxed it!! :nervous:

The same team that beat Hull so comfortable with Herrera replacing Di Maria.

That seems about right, according to the BBC. Phil Bardsley is to return for tonights game though. He always seems to play a blinder against the big sides.

    Is Rooney fit for tonight?

We play on Monday night, so plenty of time for players to recover after this game.

Anyone else really excited for this? For some reason I'm really looking forward to it, probably because of the good display on the weekend. Hopefully a win.

I think it was sorted by then but someone pointed out a few days ago that it had said 3pm (4 hours earlier) a few days ago but it was fixed quickly.

I don't understand why Sky Sports are not showing any games, just BT Sport with Liverpool.

Paying nearly 80 quid a month on my sky bill and still having to watch illegal streams is a disgrace.
