    Arnautovic-----------Bojan-----------------Walters

    -------------------------Diouf----------------------------

Here’s a look at how the Potters played at Pool on Saturday. Remember that they lost 1-0 at Anfield at 86’. They had 52% of the ball and could have won this game. So watch out tonight. Walters vs Young and Arnautovic vs Valencia can hurts us a lot, like Diouf’s pace. Sidwell is injured and it’s a big plus for us, N’zonzi is very good with the ball so we shouldn’t let him play his game neither. And last point, as usual, they’re a threat at set pieces, so hope that Smalling and Fellaini are up for the fight tonight.

Yes reasons to be wary but we are better than Liverpool. We should dominate possession so it's the set piece threat we need to watch definitely. More keepball and no silly fouls in dangerous areas when they do have it.

You make them sound like Barcelona!!
Obviously they are a solid side but if we can get our one touch passing going like against Hull then i think we will be fine. Play Carrick slightly deeper almost as a third CB then we will have Rojo and Young both up against Arnautovic.

I'm starting to find the newish trend of our players (or their wives) announcing their injuries, or return to fitness, on social media, really annoying. Leave it to LvG to disclose (or not). Don't make the oppositions preparation any easier.

Shame it's not on TV but I suppose BT think it'll be better to show the relegation battle between Leicester and Pool instead.

Kinda agree. Although I too want to know ahead of time. But yeah, better to not make it easier, even though i'm sure they practice with alternatives in mind.

We knew this, but at least it's small. He'll probably be out for a couple of weeks. Could've been worse.

You never know he could make the southampton game. But i think he'll definitely make the Liverpool game.

Glen whelan is injured as well, so Charlie Adam will probably play alongside nzonzi. And arnautovic switched off for the glen Johnson goal, so assaidi might come in for him.

More like HAVE to show the relegation battle, more than BETTER to show...
Man Utd general get more time on the main channel here in SA, and ever so now and again they throw it to the lessers just to draw their fans in maybe, but certainly not because more people will be watching.

I look at this team and think they are just average all over the park. Guess Whelan will play for Sidwell, but Bojan and Arnautovic aside I don't see any technical ability in there. The back four is just a group of wannabe hard men, good in the air, but that's about it. Keep the ball on the ground and we'll be fine I reckon, that midfield really shouldn't give Carrick, Herrera and Fellaini too many problems.
In contrast to our last few seasons we will actually have the upper hand in the centre now against most opponents.

I'm going to hazard a guess and say that Rooney will be rested for at least the first half after he picked up that knock.

LVG won't want to destroy RVP's confidence after his goal and assist and Falcao should really start a game.

I'd like to see Falcao playing from the start. Maybe sub him for Van Persie after 60 mins, Falcao needs more game time to improve his sharpness.

    ---------Fellaini------Herrera---------
    ------------------Mata-----------------
    -----------Falcao-----Rooney---------

Forget about 'Mata is not a pyshical player so He can't play against Stoke' nonsense.
It's not his job to bully players, that's what LvG play Fellaini for.
Mata played good against Hull imo, linking up with Herrera very well and They both created a lot of chances. He's too good to be dropped.

Everything except Falcao, don't think RVP will be dropped just yet. He will be subbed at 65mins for Falcao.

I don't really get it myself. I thought maybe they scheduled extra Scouse matches because they were close last year and they have a lot of supporters. However, I seem to remember we didn't get as much coverage as I expected last year, despite winning the league the year before.

Every time you switch on the TV or radio, it's Scousers getting beat, which is small compensation.

How this is not on TV is beyond me. LFC v LCFC, really? Better off watching the Football League Show!

Anyways, hoping for an emphatic win. No di Maria, which is a loss, but hopefully Rooney can make it after limping off the last match.

Jeez I missed the feeling of looking forward to another match in only a few days.
Yes, feels like an extended weekend.
    Love being reminded that
Haha, must be third time in a row.

I hope we get 3 points and Falcao starts and/or scores.

I expect a same kind of formation we had against Hull after Herrera was introduced, it seemed to work so don't fix it.

I would like to see Januzaj also playing. Maybe he has the second season syndrome, but I miss what he gave us last year, the excitement, a young product from our Academy dribbling and beating opponents.

Agreed and thought of that too earlier but out of those three I guess RvP takes the most time to recover.
