Depends. If you mean in midfield, then he'd either get loads of throw ins and corners from whipping the ball into the defender's shins, but if it's paired with a world class level Rooney, I guess he'd be great.

We just need our forwards to register a goal early and then we can get back to being a decent side.

OG doesn't fill me with nearly the same joy as one of our own scoring. I wouldn't say no to PK making a reappearance, though.

09-12 Valencia did not hit the first man with every cross. That was one of the best pure wingers in the world. Still remember thinking how this Wigan lad could tear it up as well as that. Rangers injury was just really sad.

That Valencia paired with Cavani, who thrives on good crosses, would be a brilliant combination.

I agree two DM's is overkill, though. It adds congestion to the midfield and obviously lessens our attacking threat by a fair amount. We're probably in for another tight encounter, but we're used to that these days.

You might be right for today because Southampton are weaker injury wise. But I do think he is careless on the ball and not as press resistant to VDB, relatively speaking.
