El Capitano.
I can't stand Lamela, but that was about as accidental as treading on someone can be., and he immediately got his foot out the wayand did an awkward move to the side.
Heartburn Heartburn HeartburnChuckle brother alert.
That whole period of pressure at the end of the half came about because he kicked 3 or 4 straight to Sevilla players.
But he made a save, and that's what people will take away from those 5 mins.

Agree. It wasn't a red and I'd be annoyed if one of our players got sent off for that. The Fernandes yellow was more of an injustice.
YepWhy Maguire, why? Play Lindelof ffs
Defo not on De Geas Christmas card listMalacia loves a back pass doesn't he?
Everyone talking about a poor end to the half, expect this for the rest of the season. They can't be full go the entire time when they play every 3 or 4 days. Fatigue is here now, either they ramp it down a bit and have a period where they're under pressure, or they keep going 100% and risk muscle injuries.
Ideally we can score on more of our chances when we are giving it our all and in sync, which would make the parts when we're on our back foot more manageable.
It really is bizarre that Maguire is captain

Agreed. There was no intent to play the ball. A shocking decision to give him only a yellow.
In the case of Casemiro, he clearly went through the ball and into the man. Studs up so that's the basis of the red card for Casemiro, but the challenges by Casemiro and Lamela were completely different, the latter making no attempt on the ball whatsoever, but Lamela only gets a yellow.
We pass it back to de gea unnecessarily an awful lot. After the stamp on Casemiro we made 3 passes from the fk and it ended up with de geaMalacia loves a back pass doesn't he?
I can't remember one good attacking play from him whole season.Malacia loves a back pass doesn't he?
So you'd rather have consistently wrong decisions? If Casemiro hadn't got either of his reds, I'd say fine, it's a yellow card challenge.
Of course this isn't the Premier League so it's unfair to put it on tonight's referee. But the inconsistency still rankles.
It's along the lines of the old club captain type situation, where you have a 35 year old Robbo as captain when he's out there, which isn't that often late career.
Well handled by Ten Hag though. Stripping him of it properly just causes big ructions with the player.
I never understand why our defence would rather turn 90 degrees and pass back and let the keeper boot it away instead of doing it themselvesWe pass it back to de gea unnecessarily an awful lot. After the stamp on Casemiro we made 3 passes from the fk and it ended up with de gea
GK's are part of the playing out now, we should do it more but Dave kicks it straight to the oppoWe pass it back to de gea unnecessarily an awful lot. After the stamp on Casemiro we made 3 passes from the fk and it ended up with de gea
Must be tactical because Martinez does this a lotI never understand why our defence would rather turn 90 degrees and pass back and let the keeper boot it away instead of doing it themselves
Especially considering its not ederson back there but even if it was, I still think we'd pass it back more than we shouldI never understand why our defence would rather turn 90 degrees and pass back and let the keeper boot it away instead of doing it themselves
