Attack, attack, attack attack attack!
Even with our form we should win with 12 men on the pitch. Should.

 whoops! Excitement got the better of me. Taken out Smalling, we don't need that many defenders... :nervous:
That's more like it. You fill a squad with attackers, the fans expect to see attack. I think its got beyond caring about defense any more, all we need is Dave and we're still gonna let about the same amount of goals in.

assuming we dont sign another before the end of today...
Also Assuming: Rojo clearance given (if not, then Evans), Shaw still unfit, Rafael fit, Smalling fit, Herrera fit

    -------De Gea-------
    -Smalling - Jones - Rojo-
    --------Blind-----------
-Rafael - Herrera - Di Maria - Young-
    ---------Mata------------
    -----------Falcao--------

I've a funny feeling that all the pain and suffering we've gone through together over the last year or so and all the shit we've had to put up with is at long last nearing an end and good old 'arry and his QPR side are going to feel the brunt of it by being on the end of a serious drubbing.

Say nothing till ye hear more...

Assuming we're done after Falcao and Blind, and most of the injury/work permit problems are over with...

    De Gea
    Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Blind Di Maria
    Mata
    Falcao Rooney
fecking batter them. 6-0, Falcao hat trick and Di Maria to get off the mark.
*I may be a tad optimistic about this game

I saw a line up like this on twitter, except Rooney was in for Mata. Could definately see us lining up like this if we are to stick with the 3-5-2.

    ---------De Gea

    -----Jones-----Rojo
    ----------Blind
    Rafael
    ---------------Shaw
    ----Herrera----Di Maria
    ----------Mata
    ----Rooney---Falcao

We can all argue over a few positions but seriously United need to start delivering the results with this squad.

The new recruits should all be in, and with the break and the new signings arriving, AND QPR being generally not great, this should be winnable. I mean, they made Spurs look like world-beaters. :P

Well, QPR are going to be facing an entirely different side than what we have seen first few matches.

Now that'd be a very interesting way of playing the lineup with Blind there.

That looks an exceptional team on paper.

    De Gea
    Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Blind Di Maria
    Mata
    Falcao Rooney

You saved me lots of typing work, that's the one, definitely. We should really move to 4-3-1-2, it suits pretty much everyone in our team.
The dynamics of this team will be completely different to the one we've seen so far this season, so much pace (Rafael, Shaw, Di Maria) and Mata will flourish with all the movement around him. Can't wait

Booking the day off work. Not missing this, no way. Only had the pleasure of watching the Sunderland match so far this season.

Falcao, Blind, Di Maria & Rojo

When are Herrera and Shaw back by the way??

    De Gea
    Jones
    Herrera Blind
    Januzaj Mata Di Maria
    Linesman Rooney Falcao Linesman

Well this just got really really interesting. I'd bite the bullet and drop Mata and RVP personally.

    De Gea
    Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Di Maria
    Januzaj Falcao Rooney
Or if we're sticking with bloody 3-5-2:

    De Gea
    Jones Evans Rojo
    Blind
    Rafael Herrera Di Maria Shaw
    Rooney Falcao
    This is so exciting.

    ----------Falcao--------------
    ----------Rooney--------------
    Rojo--Di Maria---Fletcher--Rafael
    -----------Blind---------------
    ---Blacket--Smalling--Jones----

    You like it don't you?

    ----------Falcao--------------
    ----------Rooney--------------
    Rojo--Di Maria---Fletcher--Rafael
    -----------Blind---------------
    ---Blacket--Smalling--Jones----

    You like it don't you?

Except for the part in bold, yes. Once Shaw is back,I'd swap Rojo for Blackett.

Well this game becomes a lot more interesting, unless all our new signings get injured.

    ---------------De Gea-----------
    Jones---Smalling--Evans--Shaw
    Januzaj---Blind---Herrara--Di Maria
    ------------Rooney--Falcao---------

I'm still holding on to the probably non existent hope that we scrap the three at the back system. Chances are Januzaj is swapped for Valencia and Di Maria is playing behind the strikers.

You should think of our defense weakness. Herrera or anyone can't replace Fletcher. And you underestimate the power of the two Argies' combination. Show, if not a joke, is just potential.

Almost impossible to predict right now, but I'm excited and awake so...

Herrera sounds like he will def. be back, Shaw is probably going to be close.

 Herrera is easily better than Fletcher at both going forward and at defending. Shaw will most likely start as LWB/LB and Rojo in his preferred position as CB and it would be a waste not to play him with our current options there. Shaw made the premier league team as a LB last year playing for Southampton. That is not just potential.

There's certainly a feel-good factor about the club again!
Good that it's at home too.

I now really see/expect a win, for the first time this season.

    De Gea

    Rafael - Jones - Rojo - Shaw

    Januzaj - A. Herrera - Blind - Di Maria

    Rooney

    Raphael Smalling Jones Shaw

    Herrera Blind
    Rooney

    Januzaj Falcao Di Maria

This game now got really exiting with all the sinings :D. This game could be the Falcao, Shaw, Rojo and Blind debut. I wonder when have we have a game with so many players debut.

They are going to feel the full wrath of our squad. Feel sorry for Rio. Its at Old Trafford as well.

I don't see any good out of Herrera's defending and don't think Shaw as LWB/LB is as good as Rojo as LWB/LB. I prefer Rojo as LWB, considering a big threat Rojo and Di Maria can produce together against opponents. Then I take Blacket as one the three backs.

I think you're the only guy I've seen on here who actually rates Fletcher over Herrera. Incredible. As for your other point, I don't agree but at least it's debatable.

I've never had a doubt on Fletcher's ability to defend. I'm talking exclusively about defending not offending, and still am I the only one? Well, I might have gone wrong somewhere. As for the aptitude for Rojo as LWB/LB, I want you to check Rojo's capability as Argentina's LB against Germany at friendly match tomorrow.

Probably started with your comprehension of the word "offending".

Sorry. My English is really crap. Now I get what you mean. I shouldn't have come out of Newbie's forum.

I was only taking the piss :). Fair play to anyone who can speak another language to such a high standard (if you are foreign). I'd be utterly hopeless.

I'm now looking up "take the piss" in the dictionary. But anyway I hope Fletcher can get a position of defensive midfielder. That's it.

I don't. I think he's passed it. Unfortunately, his illness has irrevocably altered his ability. He no longer has the engine that he had. Personally, I think his time as a professional footballer is over (as sad as that is).

Blind is much more likely to start alongside Herrera, IMO.

    will go with this
    Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Rooney
    Januzaj Di Maria
    Falcao
