Yeah definitely a big issue. Hopefully it’s something we see more of in future graduates of the academy. Ajax and Barca seem to be experts at coaching football iq.
Seems to do alright for Portugal. To my mind though he’s got good athleticism and is a decent attacker and defender. He’s just not great at anything in particular.
I do wonder though if a left wing back comes in or Shaw etc finally get fit then he’d benefit from playing on his natural side and having a simpler role. He doesn’t seem to have the game to play inverted into midfield though.
