We've had and will have managers who want to play high octane football. Yet the majority of our center is super slow and/or lacking physicality.

Yes we do, you really think we;re going to win titles and compete in cl with this front line? baffling
Have you missed the last 11 years? We spent bucket loads on players and got nowhere. We need a clear identity and the right players to fit that. The front three we have out tonight have the potential to create a clear plan.

Make it stop. If those players have sex like they play football I feel sorry for all thier partners. Divorce them.

I agree to an extent, but we're literally seeing a 31 year old Casemiro make twice as many dangerous runs into the box as our centre forward. That's unacceptable. Yeah the ball doesn't usually find him because our passing is dogshit, but you can see the run was dangerous. We very rarely, if ever see that from Hojlund.

The Casemiro thing makes my point, he’s probably tasked with arriving in the box last in case anything comes loose. Højlund has to be involved in all phases and he has no chance with the will they won’t they stop start nature of wing play. Højlund needs to be more assertive and go take the ball a bit deeper or slightly out wide. It’s why i think he could work with Zirkzee.

Anyway, something isn’t working at all between the wingers and forward and they either need coaching or if they are ignoring instructions they need dropping

It is not just the manager(s) or the tactics. Too many players are simply not good enough. And it is sad that we can see that Eriksen not is on the pitch. We create more chances with him.

Ole had Bruno in the best form Bruno has ever had, he had a not yet broken version of Paul Pogba. He had the best version of Martial and Rashford. He had -whoshallnotbenamed- and the last season where Ronaldo still had some ability. Ole had much better attackers so im not suprised his team could look more threatening going forward.

A couple of Ole ball over the top passes in behind would be like a dream right now.

We are the worst kind of possession team. Something like a midtable Spanish side from 20 years ago. Lots of recycling the ball for the sake of it. No real quality or incision going forward. This is pure turd.

I think we're playing constantly with a really poor striker, there is literally zero target man. The wingers have nothing to feed into, no target to hit.

I'm sick of hearing this Hojlund talk now, he's absolutely bang average and it's impacted us right through the team.

I've been saying it for ages and have been shouted down so many times on here but the proof is in the pudding. He's not even finding space or creating himself an opening against weaker sides.
This. If anything, it shows just how impressive a 37 year old Ronaldo was. At least we had some kind of goal threat while being utter shite otherwise.

A one goal in five strikers isn't good enough for the Premier league let alone European football.

Chelsea smashing 6 past Noah in the first half. How many goals would we have scored? I reckon we'd sneak that one 1-0.

Too many stupid comments trying to find some individual player to blame. The problem is our coaching, we really look like a poor team. Little cohesion and fluidity in our play.

Cutback was on but we never play them. You can criticize Rasmus for taking the open space for the cutback when he should know it is never coming from our wide players or you can criticize the fact that our wide players choose the wrong options all the time. In the end it is just a freezeframe of the last god knows how many years of this club, hopefully Amorim sorts it out.
How can Garnacho cut back in that specific situation? The defender beside him is clearly blocking that path. If Garnacho attempted to cut it back there it would have just been blocked and gone out for a corner. There's also another defender close to Hojlund who would also likely cut out that pass if it somehow magically bypassed the first defender.

You can criticise Garnacho's general delivery if you want but the ball he put in there was the type any striker would want (assuming they were actually in the correct position)

and how are you so confident these players will get us to that level? when we're so poor. The truth is somewhere in the middle, you improve potential whilst having top world class players too. If you spend, you spend on the right top quality. Hence why I'm assuming football people at the top was so important??

He's not a good captain, agreed. It's more the fact that he has a completely free role, offers extraodinarily little defensively and then has nights where he's outrageously sloppy. He's never had much athleticism and appears to be losing what he does have fast.

Not many teams play a 10 these days. None are able to field one that is as unproductive as he's been this season.

Hojland has been poor too, but he's alone with 2 CBs and almost no service, with his 10 never anywhere near him nor looking for him.

As much as I’ve been critical of Bruno I actually think he could work deeper. He’s not the best defensively but with a back three he’d have extra cover and his passing range from that position would be useful. Playing alongside Ugarte he could operate as that deep playmaker we’ve needed. The few times he’s been played in that role it has seemed to help calm him down.

Or perhaps Ole knew how to get them confident enough to play good and score goals. « ViBES FC » as people used to joke about but confidence is a key factor in goalscoring ability of a team

At least he didn't do a spin before playing that pass, so maybe people won't be talking about it in 2026.

    I really do like Mazraoui

Dalot hasn't done a single thing right in the last few weeks. Mazraoui has made me realise what a proper full back looks like.

Just shoot. Test the keeper. Always one pass too many.

We have exactly one player who looks like he belongs to a top team: Mazraoui.

Mazraoui is the only one that looks like he should be playing for this club.
