Martial will make the difference here. He will hold up the ball better, Rashford will be much more effective on the LW and Sancho will come in for Anthony.

The ball retention being better up top will enable Bruno and Mount to get in better support and positions and I think this will be the performance we’ve been waiting for this season to kickstart everything.

Certainly hope so and for a smooth transition when our new man eventually starts playing. In dire need of a striker. Makes so much of a difference than having Rashford there.

Rumours Hojlund available for this game, would be good to start with Martial and give Hojlund the last half hour, I'd drop the underperformers where possible so not what I think will happen but what I want:

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
Casemiro Eriksen (Home to forest should be good)
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Bring Hojlund, Garnacho & Mount on for Martial, Sancho & Eriksen on 60 mins

    Should be this:

    Onana
    AWB Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Martial

But will most likely be this:

    Onana
    AWB Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Mount
    Sancho Bruno Garnacho
    Rashford

Can't see how Garnacho or Mount starts this one after the first two games, but I think EtH will persist. I think Anthony will be dropped to the bench for this one with Sancho coming in for him

Also wouldn't be shocked to see the same line-up from the Spurs and Wolves game start the match.

We need a change in midfield and up top. Solidify the midfield.

I hope Martial is ready to start, get Rash on the left again. Swap Antony for Mount or Sancho. If we can get Amrabat cool but Casemiro alone isn't working, put in McTominay, Fred or someone.

Ten Hag doesn't need to die on this hill

Can't see us buying back Fred from Fenerbache to get him back in time for this match!

    Onana

    Shaw
    Martinez
    Varane
    AWB

    Casemiro
    Eriksen
    Mount

    Rashford
    Martial/Hojlund (whoever is fit)
    Sancho

I don't care who starts, but just bench Mount and Antony please.

I would only take Hojlund on if we are winning the game.

Do not, under any circumstances, throw him on if we are chasing a game.

    Lets go old school 4 - 4 - 2

    Dalot - Varane - Licha - Shaw

    Pellestri - Casemiro - Eriksen - Mount

    Bruno
    Rashford

If we rush Hojlund back too soon out of desperation it will just highlight what a mess we are at the moment.

We aren't desperate though. I'm sure Ten Hag is calm and focusing on his system to be trained more and more into the players.

Just some silly fans here are are knee jerk.

    Onana

    AWB
    Varane
    Martinez
    Shaw

    Casemiro
    Mount
    Bruno

    Antony
    Martial
    Rashford

Tough game, almost a guaranteed poor performance, but hopefully the result we want.

It would be great to see Hojlund, even if he's on the bench. Just need some positivity around this team and for the fans.

Doubt he will start this one. If we win convincingly, he might get some sub minutes but will wait until after the break for his first start.

Think we'll win this but if they do a Wolves to us and do well in midfield and create lots of shots the pressure on ETH will be immense.

If its 4-3-3...with same 11 no chance.. may scrape a win. Otherwise its probably another shit show

We have four home games in a row, so the hope has to be that without dropping any points we can within that time get a new midfielder in which would change us completely.

Holland is a better striker than Rashford and has several attributes which will suit what Ten Hag is trying to do. However, people need to chill out, it's been a terrible start, but its been two games.

It's Hojlund, can we be correct on the names. And he is far from ready yet, he hasn't even trained yet. The other have to do it atm.

Absolute nonsense. If he is fit enough to start or to be on the bench then he should play minutes regardless of the score.

Oh look, its the grammar police! It was autocorrect on my phone.

Thanks for stating the obvious anyway. The point was more he's actually a centre forward with attributes which suit a high pressing team.

    People need to chill?

£400m spent to play worse than Ole isn't something to be chilled about.

No it won’t. This is a long term project/appointment. Murtough and Arnold aren’t going to rip it all up and start again!

As for the game I’d start Sancho and Martial for Antony and gnashers. If Jadon can’t perform on the right I’d sub in Pellistri.

Yeah, precisely because of posts like this. Ole was awful towards the end, we had by general consensus a decent season last year with a trophy and a manager who showed he can be pragmatic and get results. Again, you can write off all the progress that was made last season in two games but I'd rather wait until the end of the transfer window before I begin to make any sort of judgement.

No progress was made. This is an Ole team + (Casemiro and Varane/Licha). Take those elements out and you would see for yourself.

So there's no progress because you've taken three players out of the team?

I'm saying if you replace those 3 players with anyone else in the squad, you would get a standard Ole performance.

So where's the progress? Ten Hag got schooled by a newly hired Wolves manager the other day conceding 23 shots at OT in the process.

    I reiterate, what progress?

I'm talking about fan media criticism and worry, how we're playing setup etc, it's been a lot for two games. I shouldn't have to go through it all, I'm not saying club will start again .

So yes if Forest comes to OT and walk through our midfield and create 15-20 shots on goal it will grow even more.

How will Martial make a difference when he’s going to get injured after 10 minutes?

We will beat Forest but the team needs to play better and Van Hag needs to drop his favourite son Antony.

    I reiterate, what progress?

If you take good players away from a team they'll look significantly worse, particularly one that was in the first year of its transition. We looked far better last year for a significant period of time until Martinez got injured.

If you're going to pick a shitty start to the season to ignore a whole year of progress, where we won the second most games in Europe, made top 4 and two cup finals, then that's your prerogative. I have been watching football long enough to know things can change very quick and not to make a snap judgement. Try to keep a perspective.

    Hope we go with:

    Onana
    Dalot - Varane - Martinez - Shaw
    Casemiro - Eriksen
    Antony - Bruno - Sancho
    Rashford

Alternatively, Martial in for Antony with Sancho on the right and Rashford on the left.

We will beat Forest but the team needs to play better and Van Hag needs to drop his favourite son Antony.

I would like to see a front free with players who can retain the ball better. Rashford isn't great at it but he's one of the best left wingers in the league, Martial and Sancho up front and on the right please.

It's not even close to being that bad.

Also, it's only 2 games into the season ffs.

Relax, smoke a joint or have a wank, it will get better.

Get Eriksen in midfield, Mount on the RW, Rashford on the LW and whoever is fit of Martial/Hojlund in the striker position. If no one's available then play Sancho there.
