Hojlund didn't feature in today's game so doubt he is fit this week either. All a bit frustrating considering how desperate we are for a proper physical striker

I hope to see this team:

    ..................... Onana

    Bissaka - Varane - Martinez - Shaw

    ....... Casemiro - Fernandes

    .. Antony - Sancho - Rashford

    ............... Martial

    Subs:
    Eriksen
    Garnacho
    Høylund

Just want three points. Don't care how or through whom the goals come, just want three points.

It worked for a large part of last season.
We had some good games with them in midfield last season for sure. Most of the games in the first half of the season. We were pretty easy to cut through, far too often however.
If they can find their best form here, at home, against a not so great team, it could work. Eriksens positioning and distribution could of course help our attacking play

    Onana

    AWB - Varane - Martinez - Shaw

    Casemiro - MCTom

    Sancho - Bruno - Rashford

    Martial

    1-1

With the SM team pushing this it's probaby inevitable. We've a habit of jinxing ourselves at times poor form or not

To be fair - that is asking for trouble when the next team up has the worst away record in the Prem.

If we win this we're right back on track. Not to win the league, but that's actually not the realistic goal. You have to be better or at the least have more money than City, which unless you have some good luck this season nobody probably will at this moment. The hysteria with United is mostly media driven because of our history the last years, and the insecurity of our fanbase makes people perpetuate their feelings from the past onto the current reality. Will it manifest? I think that's crazy, imo but we might lose some games, no we will lose some games. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself. I'm looking forward to seeing United play regardless. 31 wins unbeaten at home, lets go.

    Onana

    AWB - Varane - Martinez - Shaw

    Casemiro - McTominay

    Pellistri - Bruno - Rashford

    Sancho

I’d take that - progress for us from last year and pretty much a similar scenario at Arsenal a couple of weeks ago. I do want Awoniyi to score to make it 7 games in a row and 9 goals in those 7

Wouldn't use us as benchmark. Wolves were the better team at Old Trafford and then promptly got pasted by Brighton at home.

Just score early and the game will be a good one. Easier said than done with our team, but just take one of the early chance and let the game be open.

That Wolves game really did me dirty. All the optimism I had for the season quickly disappeared. Can't even motivate myself enough to watch other teams' games. I hope we fix this soon.

He will be on the bench but not sure he will get a run out, reckon realistically he won’t appear until after international break.

Martial will be up top until then as long as he can stay fit.

Has 1-1 written all over it this one. Forest are a physical side and have started the season pretty well.

Hope I'm wrong because I'd hate for us to go into the arsenal and Brighton games on 4 points as I'm not convinced we get much out of those two

Yes, but correct me if I am wrong he was training on separate program from first team so far. I don't see an update where it's said he is training with the team yet.
Thanks. Think there were reports he was “ready” to train with the team.

Suddenly seeing previews putting Hojlund in the squad. Have I missed something? Has anything suggested Hojlund is fit? If he was I'd have expected him to play that behind closed doors game against Burnley

Doing score predictions for the weekend and I feel I have to put a home win, but it has the feel of a 50/50 kinda game. It really shouldn’t be, but it is.
Exactly. it’s clear we are not firing on all cylinders, we have no goals in the team and wholes all over the park. If we are as poor as we were against wolves we’ll do well to get a draw.

I actually think we will beat them comfortably. Then we will lose against Arsenal.

I hope to see this team:

    ..................... Onana

    Bissaka - Varane - Martinez - Shaw

    ....... Casemiro - Fernandes

    .. Antony - Sancho - Rashford

    ............... Martial

    Subs:
    Eriksen
    Garnacho
    Høylund
I’d go with that… very attacking line up at home. Not sure Hojlund will be apart of the squad though until next week.

In the end of course I want the win, whether a scrappy 1-0 or a Shermanesque (i the mode of an American general who famously burned Atlanta to the ground at the end of the Civil War) 6-0 destruction. But another part of me, if we could invent a parallel universe, would love to see the global meltdown if we didn't take all three points.

Really, the question should be how many we beat them by. Anything less than a 3-0 (or a 2-0 at the worst) should be considered disappointing. It should be a dominating performance at home.

It should be. We'll see what happens. I'm going for 3-0. One from Bruno, one from Rashford, and maybe Antony or Sancho with the other.

Fantastic. This game is going to be very difficult now.
Two of our new signings are out injured and their combined fee was 110 million. Plus we sold off Fred, who I rate higher than Van de Beek and McTominay.

With Shaw out, we’ve got 4 options realistically

    - Dalot at LB. I don’t like him there though
    - Fernandez. If we didn’t have Arsenal after Forrest I’d do this. But I think because of that it won’t be him.
    - Martinez
    - Lindelof

I think itll be Martinez. Lindelof will come in at CB.

Some of you guys are out of your mind if you think Dalot isn't going to play LB.

Especially if it also means moving your best ball playing centre back to accommodate a back peddling, defensively worse player.
