Feck me.. Who'd have thought 3rd game in and the bald one would be under some serious pressure.. Imagine the scenes if we feck this up.. Elanga to run rings around us..

Only in your mind and in sex masochism is he under pressure.

Just win this one and sort the tactics out. Players to play in the right positions and hopefully no Antony.

If I were forest, I'd play MGW, Elanga and another strong runner in midfield. Boom, game won.

Will Hojlund be ready for this one? A lot of people have him coming off the bench but I thought he wasn’t ready until September and Arsenal would be his first game.

Even against Forest we will give away too much possession in midfield and will be impotent up front. Cannot see us do anything but struggle with present set up. Forest are very energetic and their back line too strong for our predictable forwards. Antony has to be dropped and replaced by Pellistri, fed up with him doing same old trick over and over again. Although he did hit the post at Spurs, must have messed it up.

He fails to win this one and he will be under immense pressure whether you think so or not. Next two after this are Arsenal and Brighton.

Martial will start instead of Garnacho and that will be the only change. Probably Dalot for AWB but i doubt it.

I think he’ll persist with the midfield 3 personally.

    Onana

    Dalot
    Varane
    Martinez
    Shaw

    Casemiro

    Mount
    Bruno

    Sancho
    Martial
    Rashford

Antony and Garnacho have been really poor in the first 2 games. No ball retention. At least Sancho can keep hold of the ball. A risk starting Martial but needs must until Hojlund is fit

First change has to be Rashford back on the LW.

I thought he learned last season how to affect the game from CF...but so far this season he looks like he is hating that role again.

Yeah, if we won't beat Forest and won't beat Arsenal and won't beat Brighton, then he will be under some pressure.

    Elanga gets his revenge.
Awoniyi is going to be a handful.
He will bulldoze through our midfield and defence.

Forest won't be relegation fodder this season, but fortunately their manager doesn't seem to have realised that yet and still plays cowards' football like they're newly promoted. This would be a very different game in three months time.

Forest will stay up, I think. Solid team - I think Awoniyi & Elanga will cause many PL sides problems

    Hoping to see

    ----------------------Onana‐-------------------
    Awb-------varane-------martinez---------shaw
    ‐----------casemiro‐-------mount--------
    Sancho-------------Bruno----------------Rashford
    ------------------------Martial------------------

I like Anthony (unpopular opinion) but feel Sancho deserves a start. Martial is our only fit CF so absolutely has to play (even though I don't really rate him).

    -----------------Onana
    Dalot-- Varane - Lindelof- Shaw
    ---------------Casemiro
    -------- Bruno---------Mount
    Sancho-----Martial----Rashford

Under pressure from whom? Where’s the available manager who can utilise his purchases and take the club forward with no money?
Ten Hag will be given lots of time, the amount of overreaction from online fans is astounding.
I’d be more concerned about him quitting about how the club is ran, rather than him getting the sack for how the team performs.

Hopefully ETH shakes things up. Need an early wake up call effort and composure wise. Garnacho is just wa tad off, out him back in sub role. McT needs a start sadly...he will at least bring energy.

Not sure of Shap, maybe Mount in front 3

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
    Bruno Casemiro McT Mount
    Sancho Rashford

Please fecking push Rashford to the left. Garnacho has had two chances to impress and done squat. He shouldnt start. Give Sancho or Martial a run through the middle and see how they do.

    Antony needs binning too.

ETH obviously doesn't think Sancho can be a striker or he would have played him there when he came on instead of putting him on the lw in both games. Hoping it'll be Martial up front and Rashford on the left. Not confident this will suddenly mean Rashford is good. Don't think his poor performances are only due to playing up front. Midfield isn't going to change anytime soon whether we like it or not. ETH made his bed with the Mount transfer and he'll stick with it as long as he possibly can in the hope it'll click. Hopefully it will sooner rather than later.

    Onana
    AWB Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro
    Fernandes Mount
    Antony Martial Rashford

It’s small margins at the minute, if we’d got the penalty or if Bruno had scored the sitter we’d have beaten Spurs. It’s not all doom and gloom.

I’d leave Anthony and Garnacho out this week. Put Rashford on the left. Then either bring in Sancho on the right, Martial through the middle or Eriksen in, Mount on the right and a false nine of Sancho.

I don't think Spurs cut through our midfield per se, we just abandoned the midfield immediately we conceded and started spamming long balls (Bruno and Casemiro the biggest culprits), which gifted Spurs possession time and time again while we were out of position.

Forest do have ball carriers like Wolves, and it's a side that can exploit us if we don't plug up well in midfield. That said, I don't remember them being a hugely physical side (might be wrong), which was one of the main issues with Wolves. We just couldn't compete physically in there at all.

Think one of our main issue, and potentially the reason why our team is so disunited, is that I think many of the players are not match fit.

I am sorry but Lisandro needs time after his injury of last season. I don't think Antony is fit enough alos as he doesn't run much.

I think Luke Shaw is a particular case. He's always a slow starter, but playing him as an inverted FB is a joke. We miss him on the left side and inside he offers nothing. Then it's ETH to decide.

Any way, I think we will win this one, but we will have unfortunately to find a solution in midfield (Mount to play lower or Eriksen) and upfront with Sancho as a 9 or Martial

We can’t keep hold of the ball full stop - our possession is woeful. The main tactic will be to turn over possession and break quickly. The other thing we do well is crosses into the box for Awoniyi.

We aren’t an overly physical side apart from Yates who is horrible to play against. Strong, quick and well versed in shithousery. The other of course is Awoniyi who is just a beast of a number 9.
