    Ah yes - sorry. Heysel and the Euro competition ban was a contributing factor. Another was revenue and not able to compete for the best players. We were always just a bit short of quality. The split with Taylor in ‘82 was massive though. Cloughy was never quite the same afterwards.
     
    Reading this thread, you'd think we are playing prime Real Madrid second leg in the Champions League. It's fecking Forest at home with 3 goals lead already. We will crush them again. Just hoping for some rotation here and there.
     
    I liked the look of Scarpa first leg could easily see him becoming a great FF player for cheap, and I am slightly worried about him this match if we go too weak.

    Think we will go Maguire and Lindelof at the back, otherwise I do not see any players rested, maybe Pelastri RW or 10

    Varane hasn't played since the defeat to Arsenal. I think he'll start otherwise it'll be 2 weeks come the Palace game.

    The last time Forest scored against us was 25 years ago. I somehow doubt they are going to come in and beat us 4:0 amidst Manchester.

    Rashford, Sancho and Martial are all benched.
     
    Be good to see these off early doors but the media already have a hard on for the geordies in the final, they’re desperate for a Manchester United, Newcastle United final but they’re even more desperate for a Newcastle win.
     
    If that team is correct then:

    1. At least Rashford is getting a rest.
    2. Ten Hag is really trying to push out Maguire isn't he.

    If that team is correct then I would have rested at least Casemiro and Bruno, even though we are super limited for options I think they need a rest and this is a good time to not take risks. Still ETH knows a lot better than me.
