Your point is well taken but at the end of the day if the players are unhappy with the manager's philosophy, which I use in a more expansive sense of the word than just tactics, the manager has to go.

You can replace 1 manager, but you can't replace 23 players.

Mata did really well there to bring the ball up and it was a poor cross but did you see Rooney next to him? Martial was busting a gut to give Mata room for a space/to exploit on the right. Rooney just strolled in the middle thus crowding the space and giving Mata no option.

I don't disagree, but the issue is the players. Either they are not performing because LvG has lost them (poor them...) or they are just shite.

It would be nice to see the people responsible for not hitting the target, or not figuring out how to score with 70% possession and the ball camped at the 18 yard box called out for being rubbish.
