I'm tempted to bring in Mourinho immediately.
This will be his first season and usually he wins the title in his 2nd season (ie. next season).
This season is a write-off, anyway.
If Giggs takes over, then this season will be a write-off and we have no chance of winning next year.

It seems like Giggs is damned whatever he does on this board...

You aren't a hardcore fan because you cheer a loss. that makes you an idiot

Exactly. There comes a point where the fans have every right to boo a bad performance. The players + manager have to carry the can for this.
We score 1 goal and then coast for the remainder of the game. Every game this is now happening.

I'd have a decent amount of respect left for Louis van Gaal if he steps down on Monday morning. Not that he will.

I can't say I'll like it if we become like most other teams, changing the manager every few years - but it is generally the way the 'game' is now. This just simply is not working and for me, that is our slim chance of the title gone. I will be surprised if we finish higher than fourth, unless Mourinho is brought in next week (then we might get third)...

Don't depress me even more with this Mourinho-talk.
We've all seen the man is a total weak whinge-pot when push comes to shove.
Hope some Chelsea supporters come and sort you lot out.

Sorry I'm so grumpy, but who can blame me?

Sack him now, clearly a no-way-back situation here. What´s the point in keeping him just because the situation in the table is still "okay"? With this way, we will do a reversed chelsea, lose 10 times during the second half of the season and finish in no mans land.

and ps: Hiring Ryan Giggs as the chief manager one of the biggest clubs in the world while Mourinho, Guardiola and Ancelotti are all available (and thanks to our reputation, the challenge and massive financial possibilities also gettable) would be the most stupid board decision in football history.

In the 70s, we cheered the team win, lose or draw. When we lost, the fans were even louder. We didn't sit there in silence then boo at the end.

Whatever mate but the truth is a hardcore united fan is passionate about united whether that is blind support or pushing agendas it doesn't matter its the passion you show for the club. The fans were quiet because they were shell shocked by the nonsense out there. Not because they werent "hardcore" enough.

The fans were quiet from the start. They sat there like potted plants. That, I think, was the point the director was making with all those crowd shots.

I love you fans who think there's a chance to get Pep.

Pep is going to City. PERIOD. The club is set up for him already, including Txiki Begiristain as Director of Football.

Stop watching the world through rose-tinted glasses. Fans like you are the butt of jokes by other fans. Always thinking no one refuses Man Utd. Reality is different.

To everyone who this LvG will be sacked pretty soon, I don't think this will be the case - not unless he fails to win us the Top4 trophy (:()

I kind of feel that this is not entirely wrong, since we need someone else to take over and I'm not on TeamGiggs. If LvG were to be sacked midway through the season, we have to get Carlo/someone else more "established".

Yep. But the Glaziers will only boot him when its the best option financially.
That should be now, the further we fall down the table the more money they will lose. Also they might then find it difficult getting sponsers. There are fans out there who won't think twice switching teams. Especially young kids, why would they want to support United atm? They are old enough to understand that you support a team through thick and thin.

    Exactly this.
I've always said there won't be a decline in the long run because the glazers couldn't afford there to be. £250m may seem like a lot in transfer fees, but it's not as much as they could stand to lose if this club goes downhill too much. They will simply throw money at the problem until something sticks.

People typing United deserved to score in the first 25 minutes.
Tell me where did they shoot on target?
Tell me where they tested the goalkeeper.

As soon as Norwich go forward they look like scoring every time.
That attacking play was like every United performance under LVG Lots of slow possession with no proper chances being created. I don't understand how LVG supporters keep defending the fool.

That would be a mistake...Utd must wait until the summer and go all in for Pep....or at least until Pep makes a decision....if not Pep then you talk to Maureen.

It appears Pep already has an agreement with City.

That's a good point. Not to mention some Spanish youth players they have signed recently and that CFA complex. They basically want to Barcelonize the club.

I didn't see the game yesterday, but caught the highlights (?) on MOTD. Did he throw Smalling up front again towards the end of the match?
