Pogba and Lingard memeing their way into the lineup ahead of Rashford

Ditch the lot of them. We still have an actual shot at top four and are playing 2 guys who have no reason to care about it.

… And Rashford does? Not to mention he plays in neither of their spots.

That desperate lineup really just shows how much of a shambles we are.
We don't have a bench like City's. The amount we have spent we should have. Matic cannot play today as we need him for Liverpool. We will get stuffed there, but maybe not as much. It will at least leave the board with no illusions about the quality of this squad and past mistakes.

No obviously not. The point was why are we playing the clowns instead of Hannibal or Garnacho.

    What’s he done now
He's a coward, so scared to play some of the academy players instead of these awful first teamers with 0 future here.

Lingard making minutes over actual talents is insanity.

I think Rangnick has given up too. Do we have a midfield?! We’ll either win 7-4 or lose 0-1

He's said why and I understand why, because of fans like you get on places like this, who first misplaced pass will be writing them off. This is not the time for them. Let the crowd rip this lot to bits, as they will deserve it, not the kids.

years of rot and bad management from top to bottom allowing the likes of Lingard, Jones and Mata around match day squads in 2022.

Rangnick clearly still has this insanely naïve idea that Lingard and Pogba will play well to impress their new suitors.

They've been proving that idea wrong for years already.

Bailly, Henderson, Jones, Mata and Matic on the bench as well, the whole thing is just so comical. None of them give a feck about the clubs future so why waste a space on the bench for them? We'd be better off with academy players.

They really should be trying to impress, good luck to anybody signing them as their attitude will be very hit or miss.

That lineup reads like who's who of players who doesn't want to be here. Seriously unbalanced lineup which probably would lead to us struggle massively yet in some weird way I like it. Good to see Rashford benched again.

Potentially a weird game with that midfield. At this point I hardly even care and am curious to see how it turns out. Would be great to see Mejbri/Garnacho get some minutes, though very doubtful it will happen

Not that many alternatives today. Also I would say Lingard when he has played this season, played well

Surprising to see Lingard start, hope I can be proved wrong but he's probably looked the most disinterested when coming on for Ralf.

I’d rather have Mata instead of Lingard. If you’re going to play only attacking midfielders at least use one who has a bit of calmness on the ball.

Clear off man, this is absolutely not what has been happening. It is rather the older useless players that clearly don't care.

So let them get the criticism. As he said you drop kids into a good situation not put all the pressure on them to save your season.

Barca were in a similar low point, bloodied their youngsters and most of them have now become regulars...

The problem is, year after year, people want the perfect situation, the perfect time, the perfect run of form, the perfect scoreline for a player to get minutes because if those confluences don't occur then it's an absolute certainty that said player will go on a career long spiral into obscurity if the game doesn't pan out as anything but net positive.

Adversity makes players. Look at all the top, world class talent that didn't wait for the right perfect scenario to get their experience and it was nothing but beneficial to them. We scare ourselves into being too cautious, as if a few minutes here and a few minutes there in competitive games is somehow bad for development.

And as you've mentioned, the Barca kids. We all know full well that Gavi, Pedri, Fati and co would not have featured by this point if Redcafe sentiment ruled. No, they'd have had to have waited for the Barca rebuild to complete first, and then if things were moving along swimmingly would there be some minutes in it for them.

Spurs fecking up could just make it even worse.

If we go a goal down today we might see the most toxic atmosphere OT has ever seen.

Lingard will run rings around Norwich's midfield. Shame it will be when Norwich are having the ball

If you want to play that many attacking players, I’d play Matic or even Phil Jones as a DM. It looks ridiculously open with no discipline. I know it’s only Norwich but still
Jones  thank God we are just keyboard warriors.

Matic, I guess is being rested for Tuesday.

There is nothing to save in terms of league standing, we arent getting the CL. EL / ECL are all useless.

There is everything to save regarding what it should mean to play for this club. Which players like Lingard just shouldn't.

    Hahaha

I guess Ralf expects Norwich to sit back a lot.

Can’t believe Lingard and Pogba are getting a game here.

Spurs just lost, so we could get something. If this lot cannot see that, then they all deserve to be sold.

Our midfield is being manned by two out of contract players that have chucked it. I cannot think of a situation where that is better than playing a young player.
We were in a poor run of form when Rashford made his debut Pedri broke into a dysfunctional Barca side with an even more unforgiving crowd. The idea young players can only come in and perform well when the team is doing well is not backed up with evidence.
